Luckily I didn’t NEED this part for my CMR-30, but wanted to try MCarbo products, so why not. Had to call and correct my address which they did FAST and shipped it fast. You can see the difference in quality from the factory part easily. Install wasn’t bad and it functions amazing.
easy to install and much needed upgrade to the pmr 30. Well worth the money!!
I just installed the grips on my PMR30. Fit's like a glove. I watch the video which was a great help. Communication throughout the entire purchase process. Very well done. Thanks, j
A little pricey for what it is, but a big improvement over the factory part. It allows the magazine to set higher in the pistol for better operation. It is also smaller- less likelihood of accidental mag release...Kel-tec should be putting this in all of their PMR-30s.
WILL STILL NOT FEED A FULL MAGAZINE
Great kit with quick install that holds the mag higher to aid in cartridge picking and feeding into chamber. It might just be mine but I no longer hear my mag CLICK into place so I double check and it's tight.
I love the mag release it was very easy to install because I had watched the installation video on YouTube a bunch of times before I bought it. Mcarbo has always done me right. I have Tandem kross mag base plates that I needed to file to have lock up, because Tandem kross had accounted for the original "slop" in the mag release. A great idea and execution. Thank you Mcarbo and the brotherhood.
Great product. Easy installation, (with video...). Doesn't hold the mag is you have the TANDEMKROSS “Maverick” Extended Magazine Bumper. Works fine with the factory mag cap.
I tried it. I tried to go without this item. I put the custom polished feed ramp in and I thought that should be enough to fix both my PMR30 and my CMR30. Nope! The magazines sag out of the mag well just enough to cause failure to feed problems. I know this was the issue because if I pushed up on the magazine when I fired, the bullets fed perfectly time after time. It was obvious! I needed to get this product to keep my magazines up and tight in the mag wells. So, I went back and bought 2 of them! And, what do you know? They fixed my problem in both guns! This is a known issue with the Keltec .22 WMR (magnum) weapons and this is a very necessary part! Just buy it and relax knowing it will remedy this magazine sagging issue!
Unlike the PMR-30 I have, I kept hitting the clip release on my CMR-30. This DEFINITELY is worth the money and installation is simple. Just be careful with the spring.
I was having trouble with inadvertently pressing the mag release button. I was researching the issue and someone suggested MCARBO. I replaced the factory part with this one and it makes a world of difference. And the videos are great! No nonsense like the YouTube videos I'm used to.
I hope this helps the feed issue. I just put in the new ramp after installing this mag release. I have yet to shoot it. It was a 5 min install.
I bought a CMR-30 and then read the awful reviews about unreliable operation. I got only one box of ammo with rifle. I field stripped it, lubed it, and loaded the magazine per instructions. No failures were experienced. I saw the M*CARBO video and ordered the enhanced mag release to ensure good performance. It installed easily with the provided slave pin and reduced mag slop. Now I need more ammo.
Purchased the mag release for my CP33 after watching the installation video it took about 5 minutes to install. Watching You Tube videos addressing feeding issues I realized the enhanced mag release would help a lot. I measured the gap between the magazine and the grip before and after install and it reduced the gap by 0.6mm. The magazine is now easier to remove as there is less friction when pulling it out. I haven't test fired yet waiting for warmer weather as it isn't much fun shooting when it's well below zero.
Easiest upgrade for internal parts I feel aside from maybe a barrel change. But I did notice with a full magazine that it does take a bit more force to get it to lock into the catch. I understand that's the purpose of the new magazine release is to take up the slack from the original, but its tight when loaded.
Pretty simple install. Seems to be doing as advertised. Two thumbs up.
