Simple part solves a problem, great job guys this makes it so much easier to unlock the Sub. Keep up the great work, I literally have every part you sell for my sub. 😉
Like always, M*Carbo comes through with a awesome improvement to the Sub 2000..
Price is right, part is nicely made. I did have to sand/file the leading edge a tiny bit for it to release. I don’t know exactly how much material I had to remove but it was just enough so the tooth would clear the notch on the barrel portion. Mine was just a tad too long. That’s why I docked one star. Otherwise it’s smooth, easy to get a hold of, and holds the barrel securely when folded. Thanks *MCARBO!
I didn’t notice any difference in the ease of deployment, specifically the one finger/thumb deployment shown in the video. I think it has more to do with the spring than the latch, but with more practice maybe I’ll get it. The benefit of being slightly taller does make it close above the buffer tube sleeve easier.
Installing this on my sub 2000 was quick and easy really works well. The shape and operation is much easier now.
Much nicer than the factory release. I love this piece.
No improvement over the original.
This M*Carbo locking clip upgrade is great for many reasons. 1) it is larger so easier to grab or even to find in a low-light or no-logbt situation. 2) immediately upon install it slides at least as good as the OEM locking clip design. Keep in mind I bought my Sub2000 second-hand so the OEM clip on it probably had a decent amount of use. Despite that I wasn't loving the labor required to slide the clip for deploying the rifle to shooting position. The new M*Carbo clip at installatio already worked even better than the OEM clip. I think it will only get more slick as it get's worn in. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the M*Carbo YouTube video for installation of this part clearly describes it as so slick it can be manipulated with just one finger. It is not true, at least in the beginning, or at least not the one I received and installes. Maybe it will break-in as time moves on. 3) locks in beautifully, as was intended. 4) easy to install; anyone can do it
I was expecting it to make me breakfast. But then I read the description, and realized my expectations may have been too high. So after considering what it promises, and what it delivers, I can say it met expectations.
If I fold my red lion front sight before I fold the rifle the latch is almost impossible to open again. If I leave it open when I fold it, the latch works as advertised. I could probably address the issue by backing off the sight by one or two turns or by whittling on the new latch. Not interested in doing either.
Easy to install? Yes Any difference in the way the gun opens when folded? Nope!! Worth the price? Nope!!
This Rapid Deployment Latch is a convenient upgrade to one hand open the rifle to its full and open position, The installation was easy and took all of 2 minutes from opening shipping box to having it on my Sub2K. Kudos t MCARBO for being all over the improvements to this fine truck weapon!
Better grip and action. Great Product.
It took all of 2 minutes to put on and that's only because I dropped the spring twice. Way easier to deploy now. Would definitely recommend getting this upgrade. Took a little while to get here but that's only because it was on backorder. Soon as it shipped it was at my house in 3 days. No complaints here and now it's something I will have for the life of the gun...
This RDL is the easiest mod for the Sub yet. Very positive action and easy to use. Worth every penny!
Very easy to install and deploy.
