Like always MCARBO delivered..!!!
This was a last second add-on to my fairly large order. I couldn't decide on how much of an affect a different latch would add to deploying my sub-2k. It's not like I'm going into combat. Using the standard latch would do the same exact job, just a hint slower, needing a full grip, but it actually is a bit nicer than the oem latch. It's a hint larger but not obnoxious in any manner. It never touches my cheek. And it actually does deploy as easy as it's shown in the video. It's not a have-to-have feature, but it is nice and easy to use. I like it.
I myself do not like bare pic rail so I always want unused rails covered. I have a very low profile rail cover on my top rail and it just barely keeps the factory latch from catching. I was told the mcarbo rdl is point something taller so i gave it a try and it still is just not tall enough. As far as looking better and havibg way more surface area,the video isnt joking. If you do keep yours folded and use the factoey latch quite often,yiu definately will love the difference between the factory and rhis upgrade.
Install was a breeze and a lot smoother and bigger release.
The rapid deployment latch at times will not release the sub2000 due to excess play. It works most of the time. But in stress moments might not work if you use one thumb instead of grabbing both sides. Also, if you use the Red Lion front sight it will not work when the sight is folded down. It will stay locked up because the latch is too big. This is informational only and has nothing to do with what mcarbo intended the product to do.
Add a spring as well, just in case there us a mistake.
Like another posted, sloppy. It says in the install video that you can spread it out with both thumb's and slide it on. Dont worry its a certain type of plastic they said.. I did just like they said to do. The only problem was that the latch didnt really go back in its original shape. so now I can shake the gun to the point to where I open the gun with one hand. I will put the original back on. It was tight and a nice fit.

You shipped the RDL on May 8th and it finally arrived today (5/26). It took me about 5 minutes to install. It works fine. Thanks.
Latch works really well. Make sure you watch the video and pay special attention to the spring. It is easy to mess it up. I was able to fix the spring enough to make the latch work properly without any issues.
Just installed the RDL on my KelTek2000. It took longer to watch the install video than to install it. I'm amazed at how well it works and very pleased. Thank you for a great product.
This was an easy fix and improves the ability to open her up and make her ready to shoot. Being a new Sub-2000 owner, I did not really notice the difference until I replaced it and that extra surface area does make it easier and closes with no issues. Definite upgrade and easy to install. Just use the grease to hold the spring in place and viola, you are done.
This is SO MUCH BETTER than what Kel-Tec provides. I like that it is both easier to use and more substantial than what comes with the rifle from Kel-Tec. I will be honest and tell you that without the installation video, I would not have remained sane trying to hold that spring down while changing out the parts. It still took a heck of a lot of tries before I finally got it so don't give up!
Took a bit of manipulating, but I got it installed. In the video, he mentions using some grease to hold the spring in place. I had some vaseline sitting on my workbench, and that worked well enough. The latch makes it much easier to open, now.
When I first got this it didn't look much different than the factory. Took two small screwdrivers to pop the old one off and put the new one on. Once on I realized just how great this is. The old release is not very ergonomically set up. This upgrade makes the release easy with your trigger hand or off hand. Plus it still holds the barrel in the folded position just as well as the factory
