This little latch really increases the latch hold, and is super easy to open even one handed. Took longer to put the grease on the spring then it did to remove the old latch and put the new one on.
Easy to install, easy to use. Makes it much easier to unfold, even 1 handed.
Unfortunately, this part did not work on my sub 2000. Cause of me switching out the front iron sight post. I'm using an aftermarket front iron sight post from Red Lion Percsion that folds. I wasn't going give Mcarbo a bad review on this part sense it was my doing for this part not able to work like it's suppose too. I should of took a picture of it and gave an example.
Thank GOD for MCARBO! This RDL is a MUST for your SUB 2000! Makes deployment of the weapon much easier tactically for any situation. Whether for shooting at the range, self protection or as a back in your vehicle. The RDL is a smooth release that MCARBO mastered. Truly necessary...
Nice upgrade that is easy to install and make the gun easier to deploy and lock up. Part is larger than the original and easy to see and grasp
RDL (Rapid Deployment Latch) is a worth-while up-grade, however for those who may have or are thinking of installing RED LION's folding front sight you may have to take 5-10 thousandths off the ears of the front sight. Everything I'd expect from Chris and MCARBO. Just a heads-up though: If you're running a Red Lion Precision folding front sight, this latch functions better than the stocker, but will not be a one-handed operation. No stars off for that though, since the RLP sight isn't stock. Still love it!
Made a modification to prevent it from continually falling off. This should work well. I put a screw through it to hold it together.
Super easy install and it definitely releases much easier.
I really like this upgrade. Can be unlatched with one finger now in many more planes than the OEM. It has better retention than the OEM release. I'm enjoying this MCARBO part the most thus far. However, I do like the QD sling mount on the my Gen 2 as well. Can't wait to put the extended mag release on and the two-finger charging handle. Although, pricey, I recommend this part. I wish MCARBO would come down on price, but who else is doing this?!? Sick upgrade, don't go without. d

When it hits the fan. You cannot be fumbling around with the release. It’s bigger and easier to grab. One handed/finger operation.
