I installed a lighter firing pin spring and a heavier extractor spring which helped but still not 100% reliable. I installed the extra power recoil spring along with the new guide rod and takedown pin. Pistol now runs Minimag 40, Fed 45 grain subsonic, Norma Tac22 and Aguila Interceptors reliably. Interceptors were too hot prior to the new recoil spring. Velocitors are still hanging up on the hollow point but the spring did handle the recoil.

Improved feed issues reducing ftf
When I first shot this gun I had several issues. With the MCARBO spring kit and this upgraded recoil spring my pistol now runs flawlessly!! This is a great upgrade and makes shooting this gun much more fun.
simple install havent shot my pistol yet with these new parts but racking seems to be a noticible stronger pull.I hope it solves my ftf problems..
I was having 20-25% FTF's with stock set up. Installed the MCARBO rod and spring, and it has reduced my FTF rate to one-half of what it was. Hoping for better as the gun wears in.

Bought one for my wife and first time out went bad. So I did the right thing and bought me one too. I installed the springs on both. My wife’s was a little more finicky but it found it’s comfy spot on the mini mags and rattled nicely. Mine had 2 FTE’s. I dropped the mag slammed it back on and never failed again. Buy it. Best ten buck fix for anything that I can remember.
As others have stated FTF issues with this gun are horrid. It’s gradually gotten better with use down from ~20% to 10% with break in though I still have a long way to go. Put this spring in, shot 60 rds of golden bullet (best performer for me) with 0 issues. Loaded up 3 mags one last time with different loads only had one ftf with a stinger. 89/90 for first run is a thumbs up for me. The real test will be with the jam o matic browning stuff…
Put this in and there were No More failures to feed! That's it, done.
Between this spring, the spring kit and a new trigger from Galloway I have my lcp 2 running pretty good
Ordered Monday, in my gun at the range by Thursday afternoon! Quality product that certainly reduced my failure to feed issue with this fun plinker. Shot over 200 rounds of various types and only had 5 ftf, before that the number was 10-20 at least. Paired it with the stainless guide rod too...
The LCP 2 lite rack is a pretty good little gun and with this spring it has great result in ejecting the spent shell. Highly recommend this. Great job MCarbo.
Purchased a new Ruger LCP II in 22LR at the end of March 2021. Had an error rate of 9% up through 300 rounds using Browning bulk pack ammo. Light primer strikes/bad ammo, FTE and stovepipe errors. Changed to CCI high velocity ammo which eliminated light primer strikes/bad ammo resulting in a 5% error rate for the next 300 round up to 600 total rounds. At this point I ordered the M*CARBO recoil rod and upgraded recoil spring. After installation, and for the next two hundred rounds (800 total), the error rate dropped to 1%. That was one stovepipe & FTE error. As the round count reaches 1000 rounds I looking to reduce the error rate to 0%. Well done M*CARBO.
