I purchased the bundle and mag release and the parts were obviously made with more precision and stronger materials. The installation video was a God send and made transferring the parts a breeze. Most difficulty was getting the two halves of pistol grip to slide back together, but the tool provided was a great help. The video and live explanation was dead on accurate. I had to take the pistol apart twice to adjust the trigger, but it was well worth the work. It's fast and smooth. Can't wait to get a new buffer when it comes available. Buy the upgrade parts and enjoy a great shooting experience.

Installed my pmr 30 all in 1 kit last night. Not that hard. The information on the installation video was spot on. The feed ramp looks fabulous after a little extra love. I can’t wait to try it out this weekend. Thanks guys for the great products.

Bought this for my KELTECH PMR, also bought the ramp, trigger and mag release for my CMR. Delivered two days after ordering. Decided to do the CMR first, but no instruction / video for the CMR. Decided to wing-it and used the PMR video - how different can they be? Well, they ARE, but with Mikes EXCELLENT narrative and visuals, I was able to figure out what was different and how to deal with it. Not hard. Installation of the three items took about three hours, but that was with LOTS of reviewing what was where and how things were different, etc. Could be done in an hour if i just went ahead and did it. Difference is 100% - MUCH better trigger pull and release - still long, but definitely an improvement. Mag release is outstanding - SOLID and no wobble/give. Feed Ramp EXCEPTIONAL. Went through four 30 round mags of CCI without one Feed or Firing issue. The ENTIRE experience with M*CARBO has been TOP NOTCH. I'm impressed. And if a Squid can do it, you won't have ANY issues. PMR on the agenda for tomorrow, and the SUB2000 Sunday. I look forward to the experience, and more so to the Firing Line.

So far, so good

I followed the video directions (had my iPad on the workbench to follow along step by step). All went as planned with two exceptions. 1st, when I started to "pry" the shell apart after removing all screws, it basically flew apart, as if spring loaded. Fortunately I found all the parts, but I did not get the opportunity to study the assembly as the video recommends. I proceeded with the install, and all went per the video except the main spring. Reconnecting it to the pin in the frame was much more difficult than the video shows, and when I did get it on the pin, it pulled the hammer/sear assembly out of its pin at the top of the frame, after several frustrating efforts, I finally reinstalled the safety screw on that side to hold that assembly in place until I got the frame back together, then took it out to install the new safety selector.

I am impressed with the quality and fit of all the parts. My buffer did not pop into place as the video shows, but it fits perfectly and I am sure will function as advertised. I now have the gun ready to shoot, and just need to go to the range. If I don't update my review, that means all went well at the range.

Just back from first time shooting the PMR. I can’t vouch for the pistol as-is, for I had the M-Carbo Pro Bundle parts kit installed by a Kel-Tec gunsmith right after purchasing it. New feed ramp, buffer, recoil spring, trigger…the works. If the PMR has reliability problems out of the box, I can’t attest. But today, I fired 300 rounds through the M-Carbo PMR and it never missed a beat.

I fired both 40 grain Remington HP and Hornady 30 grain Vmax. Kel-tec does not recommend firing 30 grain ammo for reliability issues but it functioned just fine. The loader tool from MCarbo helped in loading the mags, especially the last 5 rounds, and kept the rims from overlapping.

Accuracy was outstanding, but muzzle whip and blast were both pretty dramatic and affected aim. The blast, especially with the 30 grain, was enough to blow around what little hair I have left. The MCarbo trigger was very light and I shot more than one accidental double-tap before getting used to it. Once I got used to all of this, the thing shot like a laser beam. Dumping the whole 30 round magazine in a few seconds in a 12 inch group at less than 20 yards is no problem. Long story short, I love this gun. Haven’t had this much fun shooting in a LONG time.

Shipping the gun and parts kit to Kel-Tec was definitely a pain; prepare yourself to be treated like a criminal at FedEx or UPS if you decide on their pro installation (which was completed in a week).

Video is very helpful. Kit should include recoil spring catch. A whole new guide assembly would be great.

CCI MaxiMag and Remington Magnum Rimfire JHP had no problems. Winchester 40gr JHP had multiple failures to eject. Shell in ejector and next round trying to feed.

Super PMR30 performance!

If you want the best performance you can get from your PMR30 you have to do this upgrade.

After the installation I put 3 30 round magazines through my PMR 30 as fast as I could pull the trigger and zero jams or failures to feed.

AWESOME.

I just used the video for installation of the Combo Pack for my KelTec PMR30. Chris did a great job explaining how to perform the upgrade. It is the clearest instructional video I have ever used! The quality of the parts I received were also, top-notch. I highly recommend any part MCarbo offers.

The product is well made it took some time to install and get all the parts in correctly. I needed to take the pistol apart a couple times to adjust the trigger for the reset. The wire ring for the spring retainer needed to be trimmed so it would allow the retainer to sit perpendicular to the rod this could be a place where an E-clip design might help. After installation of the kit the gun shot with out issue. I really feel the parts were well designed and strengthen the pistol and improved the function.

Thanks

I watched the video first and then bought the kit. Getting the sides back together was my only struggle. The springs like to pop out of place. The slide return spring retaining wire is the only part I have concern that it might fail

This one stretched my gun smithing skills, however I learned and enjoyed the complete rebuild. The installation video is excellent and allow someone with no gun smithing experience to get the the project totally completed. Thank goodness they included the armor tool to get that #%&@ slide release spring in, after about the six time, I got the hang of it. One note is, it is great that MCarbo provides the small wire for the end of the return spring rod, but it was to big and when you crimped it, it wouldn't seat in the return spring retaining cap. I found out the new power springs can fly about 6 feet across the room in case you were wondering, so I used the original retaining wire. The Enhanced Mag release is a big part of making this gun run well, it places the shell more in line with the chamber, because it seats the mag higher. Plus the weight of thirty shells in the mag makes the mag kind of sag in the stock PMR, and is why the first ten to fifteen shells have FTF and FTE on the stock PMR. if you didn't do anything else, do the Enhanced Mag release, it is easy and a huge improvement by itself. I put the Enhanced Mag Release also on my CMR 30, which has to be the worst running firearm ever made, but had the potential to be the coolest. Between the Enhanced Mag release and the speed loader, it too rans better, not perfect, at least better. I did polish the stainless steel feed ramp, looks great not sure if polishing helps. The trigger feels good, and looks cool, no change in the 3.5 lb pull, and the dead trigger can be the trigger release bar is not below the safety screw. Another BIG secret is the speed loader, The Maglula loader dents the brass, especially with the last five to ten rounds but this one will load all 30 rounds without dents. you still need to tap the magazine a few times, but it makes loading a lot better. Which is why it runs better when the shells are in the magazine correctly. First full mag ran great with only one FTF, but it was one of those old dented shells, so I didn't count that. Also, if the shells are not loaded correctly it can mar the inside of the plastic mag, and that will not allow your follower to operate smoothly. Which is why MCarbo needs to come up with an aluminum magazine, liked they teased in the video. When you do I 'll take four mags when you get them, plus an improved buffer to complete the make over. The shipping took three weeks because someone decided to hold my order for one part that was on back order six to eight weeks, instead of shipping everything else and sending the slide release later. After a phone call to Customer Service, I had them in a week. I will review the slide release later. The PMR 30 is a fun gun to shoot, now it runs like it is suppose to and I can enjoy it, now what does it take to make the CMR run as well?

The whole bundle

Order was quickly received. Installing them was relatively easy after watching the video. At 65 eyes aren’t what they used to be. Great son who helped. Haven’t had a chance to fire yet. Excellent customer, can’t wait to shoot.

This Gun should come with this awesome set of upgrades.

I received this kit even more quickly than estimated. Everything is fairly straight forward for a tinkerer/mechanically minded person to get on there. I had to install the magazine retention in on the opposite side, since the 'correct' screw was too stuck in the hinge, but using my brain maid it pretty straight forward. I think you guys should purposely not polish the feed ramp, as its fun and somewhat cathartic to do it yourself :). The hardest part is probably the the spring on the back of said feed ramp and ensuring the c-shaped metal boss it goes into stays seated on the trigger hinge anchor of while putting the halves back together. I recommend being a bit more conservative on the pre/post trigger screws than he starts with in the video (I didn't need to re-adjust after one time fortunately). Love the kit, We took the gun out for its first range test and it worked great.
