Kit was fit and finished very well. Had no problems installing, did require a little skill but if you follow the video, it was explained and taught well. My thanks to the crew at M-CARBO and many thanks for their service to this proud country of ours. highly recommend this up grade, for all Kel Tec PMR30 owners. Thank you again, Brothers
I purchased and installed this kit late last year, but only just made it out to the range last weekend. The impact this kit has on my PMR-30 is unbelievable. Reliability is finally where it should have been when purchased from the manufacturer. I couldn't recommend this kit more!
I heard so many complaints about the gun that I decided not to buy it, until a guy told me about this kit. It’s not the easiest thing to install but if you do it while watching their video, it’s much easier. 3 things I would change is; make the polishing kit part of the All in one kit. Honestly, who cares about price when it works. I ordered the all in one kit, then watched the video realizing I needed to order the polishing kit. A week later I was ready to install. 2nd, a spare recoil spring clip needs to come with the kit. Gets a little hard on the hands holding down the spring trying not to ruin or lose the clip! 3rd, I would emphasis more in the video of the importance of keeping the hammer spring pin from coming out. I was very careful and it still went flying but was very lucky to find it 5 minutes later. Grab it with a small needle nose as you start to split it apart making sure it’s staying seated. Shot the gun today with multiple kinds of ammo, worked great! I have two friends who are going to order the kit now!
I've got a problem child for a pistol, failer to feed!!! Anyway when I viewed the advertisement I jumped for joy!!!! I could finally fix my problem child. I ORDERED THE WHOLE THING! It has taken me a while to get the kit installed, (I work for a living). It's installed and there is no change, I've put around 500 rounds through it sense the up grade. It will fire 1 then FTF and maybe 6 then FTF, 2 then FTF, That problem child has never fired an entire mag. So now I've got to pull it apart and put the original parts back in and send it back to Keltec, and that I didn't want to do. ( they are so far behind ).
Can't go wrong with this. I hadn't shot the gun much in stock trim but I was already seeing wear on the feedramp and was afraid failures were just around the corner. With the kit installed I now have 100% confidence in the pistol and it shoots smoother with great accuracy. Do it, you will not regret it.
It was fun to build. Don't pinch back end or your not going to get it to fire. Polishing the ramp was fun and worth doing.
I got the all in one upgrade kit earlier than I expected. All the parts were there and undamaged. The video walked me through the installation and even though I couldn't do it as fast as you did, I was able to stop and rewind as often as needed. It went smooth. Thanks for the kit and the instructions!
After reading many reviews on the Kel-Tec PMR30 I decided to get one. It was available at a local store (North 40) and the price was fair. I also read that it had feed issues as the main complaint so when I found mcarbo.com's Kit for only $139 I jumped on it. They shipped fast and only 4 days after picking up the pistol I was able to install all of the new parts. It only took about an hour (I am pretty good with tools). Their video was exactly right and lots of info. I had not fired the new pistol before the mods but after adding all the parts I went to the range and put 100 rounds through it. some feed problems in the firs 50 or so but by the end it was feeding nice. Thank you guys for a great set of upgrades!
I had recently installed the sub 2000 upgrade kit from Mcarbo with ease in my little sub gun and it works great! This PMR 30 kit was a little more difficult but in the end works great. The pistol is much more reliable and smooth to shoot now. My main problem was with that small wire ring holding the recoil springs in place. Was difficult to hold tension on the springs and seat the wire lock ring at the same time. What I finally did was get a small pair of needle nose locking pliars and clamped onto the recoil rod with the springs compressed which gave me use of both hands to get the wire lock ring properly in place.
Well it's been a few months since i bought the first upgrade for my PMR30. I think i bought every upgrade that you have offered now (except the new feed ramp which i wish that would have been available when i bought the other one) with the last upgrade i just finished installing a few minutes ago being the catch up package. I did have one issue with the mag that wasn't working right, i emailed you and you told me how to take care of it (heated up the end of mag with heat gun and gave her a little squeeze) worked great. I don't take to many of my guns apart but i thought there was no hope for this one and if i did screw it up i wasn't to worried about it because i thought i bought a piece of shit but after all the upgrades i love the gun and actually enjoy shooting the hell out of it now. Oh and keep the install video's coming it makes it nice and easy for guy's like me. Really appreciate it and keep up the good work. highly recommend anyone looking to upgrade their weapons definitely buy made in the U.S from MCARBO. Thanks again. Oh did you say you had metal mags on the menu?
I purchased the rebuild kit for my PMR 30. I sent it to KelTec for the installation. Forty bucks plus shipping and it was on the way back to me in two weeks. It now performs like it was intended and it should continue for years. I emptied two magazines back to back with no issues at all. The trigger is a big improvement. I now have no jams or stove pipes through 6 magazines without cleaning. Time to clean and enjoy my PMR 30 as a new hand gun.
The installation was a little tricky but it runs flawlessly,I am very impressed with the quality of the parts and the handy tools that came with the kit. I will definitely recommend this kit to anyone that owns a pmr 30!
Installation went smoothly - thanks to the video. Cycling great, trigger much better now. So nice to have well made, Veteran made, American made.
I placed two orders about three weeks apart for the same product. Both times their shipping was extremely slow. However their product was excellent. I installed the two kits I ordered and another for a friend. Each time I upgraded a PMR, it took les and less time, as the 3rd kit took about thirty minutes. All three upgrades went well and preformed flawlessly afterward.
Order this part and had a local gun store in Texas install. Still had trouble with my PMR-30 not ejecting properly. Took it back to the same gun store and was told there was nothing else that could be done. Not ready to turn the gun into a paper weight I called MCarbo and spoke with one of their gunsmiths. They assured me they could make it work. I sent them the gun via Fedx, they had the gun back to me in two days working perfectly. I can’t say enough about the wonderful service. These guys are fantastic!
