Owned the PMR-30 for about 4 months. Had multiple FTFs on 4 separate range days with recommended ammo. Found M-Carbo upgrade kit 3 weeks ago. Initial cost is expensive but I liked the PMR-30 too much to give up easily. Kit arrived quickly. Quality of all upgrade parts is evident-especially compared to OEM. Installed 3 days ago. Could not have done it without the video! Watched the install video 3 times before installing. All went well except for slide catch bar reinstall. New spring in feed ramp kept pushing slide catch bar out of position during reassembly. Took a few tries but finally got it all back together. Haven't yet fired upgraded PMR-30 due being rained out on range day!
Ordered the kit, and they shipped it out superfast! I installed it myself, followed along with the video, took my time, and had no problems! Finally got to go out and shoot it, and am very happy with the results! I highly recommend this kit if you own a PMR 30!!
The back story on this review is I had ordered PMR 30 parts but my address was written down wrong, they got shipped to the wrong address. When the order was sent back I received a email about it and called them. After everything was discussed they re-shipped the order and it came in two day's. Just installed the All-in-one Pro bundle for my PMR-30. The installation was easy to perform, (I followed along with the video). Everything went as described and the trigger feel is incredible. The new feed ramp is the true game changer making ammo feed flawless. The mag lock-up is now tight and with all of the upgrades I would truly recommend this to anyone who owns a PMR-30.
The HK PMR 30 has never shot more than two rounds without jamming. I could never load more than 10 or 12 rounds and it would just kill my fingers trying. The speed loader is such a blessing. I can load 30 rounds in both clips in just a matter of seconds. I took the speed ramp and polished it and put it back in the gun. The one thing I did that was terrible was I did not pull the hammer back before taking the gun apart. DO NOT DO THIS THE TENSION ON THE SPRING WILL CAUSE YOU GREAT GRIEF. I did not install the new trigger because I do not like the screws and I did not want to have a problem adjusting the screws. It would have been a better look if you could have designed it without the screws like the factory trigger. Over all this is great and will turn a gun that you wish you had not purchased into the fun gun it was intended to be.
Excellent purchase. Fixed all the feeding and ejecting issues.
Relatively easy install - only issue was with the safety - it got turned around a bit during the work, hammer would not drop, etc. A little playing around with the safety axle and all was well. The pistol cycles like it should now.
With the proper installation of the PMR 30 all in one bundle at M*CARBO, my PMR 30 has been restored to flawless operation.
These upgrades changes everything.This is what we all hoped it was before we bought our PMR-30.M*CARBO you guys keep up the great work.
The PMR30 was a Birthday gift from my wife. Ended up with FTF, and FTE. Not happy. Stumbled on M*Carbo. Took the leap, glad I did. This Pro kit transformed the pistol into a gem. Lay it all out, follow the video(although he speaks fast at times, rewind, rinse, repeat), and you've got something to be proud of. My Son did the install in about 1 1/2 hours. This pistol install can be a bit fiddly, not for arthritic hands. M*Carbo is on my radar now. Good group of people, great support, nice product, and great communication.
Picked up a PMR-30 just for some target fun and over all fun at the range with 30 round mag dumps. After shooting the gun about three times at the range started to get more and more hang ups. Either failed to feed or stove pipes. Truly started day one out of the box. Did some research and found that I wasn’t the only one and this was a problem that inherently is part of the gun design being lots of plastic parts. Then I found M*Carbo and their all in one bundle for the pmr-30. I ordered the the full bundle since I don’t fell like messing around changing part by part every other range day to get the thing to run right. Man let me tell you. What a difference it has made. All the parts in the kit are top notch upgrades that make the gun go from sub par to fantastic. The gun now runs flawlessly. Funny enough I haven’t had a hiccup yet after install of the kit. Not only do they make awesome parts that do what they say but they are veteran owned and operated and support our troops. Also not to mention everything made in USA. I strongly support and have a deep patronage to our law enforcement and military growing up in a family with both. Proud to spend my money with company’s like this one. Thank you M Carbo for everything you guys do and for making outstanding parts. Keep up the great work. If you own a pmr-30 you need to get this and join the brotherhood. Thank you Chris
Purchased this PRM-30 new. 1st Gen evidently. Couldn't get 3 rds through without a hangup. Back at the house I did some research..."buy this ammo - tap here, polish this polish that" and more. Took back to range. Same deal. Sent back to Kel-Tec for repair $100.00 plus for shipping. Their "fix" was a no fix. Got the firearm back - nothing changed same damn problem. Called Kel-Tec they wanted me to send it back costing me another $100.00plus. Hell no. Finally, saw M-CARBO's YouTube video. Just got back from the range my PMR-30 is working perfectly now. Installation video and the all and one bundle fixed what Kel-Tec wasn't willing to do (or able?)
Bravo Zulu! I love my PMR-30 but the constant FTF drove me to drink. I did the new feed ramp, buffer, recoil springs, trigger, and mag release and All of my problems went away. My complements to your company. I tested it out today on my ranch and I had zero FTF, using CCI and Aquilla rounds. BTW I put my wife's life on the line to test your products, literally she was walking to the house when low and behold a 6ft rattlesnake greeted her. I without hesitation dispatched the snake. Now I had to verify no FTF so I did 2 mag dumps to ensure the quality of your product. My wife says thanks as well.
I'm no gunsmith and I found it pretty easy to install all of the parts, had a little trouble getting hammer spring back in after it popped out, make sure hammer is unlocked and much easier. Also make sure screws don't get overnighted or gun will not fire, especially the very rear screw by the safety lever. This kit turns the PMR30 into the beast it was intended to be. Mag loader is great! Thanks guys!
Extended safety is awesome Extended slide stop is awesome Mag loader is awesome Recoil springs were meh. Ended up putting originals back in, these replacements drug a little bit and took a set in 50 rds, ended up causing malfunctions (failure to feed) as it ended up with LESS power than original springs. Put originals back in and works great Feed ramp. Good and bad. It was a hair out of spec and provided friction on the slide stop lever causing it to not function. Took just a hair off the side where the slide stop lever slides and now it works fine. Really not sure if this is needed or not compared to the original feed ramp as I didn't have any problems with the original feed ramp, but it IS well made, was just a tiny bit oversize and NOT a drop in for MY gun. HD buffer. Awesome Mag release replacement. #1 best part in here hands down HD cross pin. Meh. Kinda a solution looking for a problem. Trigger. Its good, but adds a bunch of complexity to fix a problem which was not a problem on my gun. My pistol had a darn near perfect trigger as it came. I took this part back out to adhere to the KISS principle. Overall, try your gun first. You may not want half the stuff in here. For me, for MY gun, I only ended up using the safety, slide stop button, mag release and I actually put the original feed ramp back in as after 200rds through the gun with the original ramp and 200rds with the new ramp, there was no difference. Each worked perfectly. Doing it over I would do this one piece at a time starting with the mag release. Functionally, that may be all you need.
