The spring for the release lever can be a bit of a challenge but is clearly described in the video. Have patience and take your time. Upgrade removes the weaknesses inherent in the factory set up. I highly recommend this kit. Very high quality parts.
A must have if you own a pmr30. Shot about 300 rounds without any issue so far. Great product, great service!
Very good vid on install of combo kit. Hardest part for me was getting the spring on the feed ramp to engage the slide stop bar. This gun was originally purchased at my wife’s request for her but her first shot had a failure to feed. Now fires everything we feed it as fast as you can pull the trigger! This is what the gun should have been from day one.
All the parts in the upgrade kit fit perfectly. Highly recommend this upgrade.
I added these parts to my PMR30 plus the enhanced mag release and the steel feed ramp and have fired numerous types of 22WMR through my gun with NO malfunctions. Can do mag dumps with any type of ammo I had. So happy I bought this. My PMR30 is now a perfect shooter.
I'm a newbie and I was able to do this myself. Getting that little feed ramp spring to seat with the universal installation tool was the hardest part and caused the most swearing. The video is extremely helpful. Watch it at least twice before you begin! I don't have much hand strength, so I used small channel lock pliers to hold the recoil spring back. This gave me both hands free to get the little ring on the guide rod when doing that part of the install. Haven't given the pistol a full test yet because I can't find ammo. I also installed the aluminum slide stop which was super easy to do.
The video was critical, I got it done but more work than I thought. Learned a lot about the gun. Shoots great, tried different ammo, super acurate.
Purchased the all in one bundle for my keltec PMR 30. After installing I’m having a jam every cycle bowl starts in and stops.
M*CARBO delivered my order very fast even though it was July 4th Holiday week! 👍👍 I didn't test shoot my PMR-30 prior to installing the 'bundle' as I had already familiarized myself enough with the 'out of the box' issues and wanted no disappointments that others have experienced that I didn't need to repeat. I watched the video and went over a few times the critical areas discussed to insure myself doing the process correctly. I did all the recommended suggestions, inspected and cleaned everything then took my time learning the mechanisms functions. Had an issue holding the 'slide stop brazement' in place during assembly as it wanted to pop off from the molded boss. A well-placed piece of painters' tape held it in place and remedied that bit of assembly grief. Assembly complete and nothing binding or interfering I took my PMR-30 to my 'in the woods' firing grounds and test fired 7 full 30 round magazines of CCI Maxi-Mag 40 gr JHP and TMJ with but one FTFD after 4 shots of the first magazine. My error! I had incorrectly loaded the magazine which caused a rim lock. Correctly reloaded the magazine and had no further failures no matter how fast I squeezed off rounds with all 7 magazine loads. I even tested 25 rounds of CCI 30 gr VNT fired rapidly with zero faults. My only complaint is the fit of the new recoil springs. They did not fit well inside each other. Too tight of a fit. I am far from a skilled technician, however the M*CARBO video and the well-crafted and engineered parts bundle made me a super star with this Kel-Tec PMR-30! Good job M8CARBO team!!! I may purchase the textured grips next and install them after firing more rounds to make sure I require them.
I was lucky enough to have a decent pmr 30 out of the box, but I want the best. I got it in this kit. I have 300 rds through my pmr now and ZERO malfunctions. There was a slight hiccup with shipping but customer service was quick and courteous. Thank you all.
Nice complete kit. Got my tools out, sat down in front of the computer and just followed along per the installation video. Go slow, and everything will turn out exactly as anticipated. I hope they make in the future a magazine AND a recoil proof BUFFER
I bought the PMR all-in-one pro-bundle, received it and went back to the website to review the install video only to discover that the feed-ramp that was sent to me was NOT the newest "improved" version! At best that's poor business and something that apparently I am not the first one to feel stiffed! I'm going to await some sort of response hopefully triggered by my comment here! I believe I should have been sent the newest version which was in stock! I'm not so sure I'll buy from this guy again..., and yes, I am also a veteran, "Brother" US ARMY Vietnam...., Denis Falcon DMD
Shoots like a dream. Took a mediocre gun and made it a great fun that is fun to shoot.
I installed the full Mcarbo kit in 2022. I tried 4 diff ammos and ended with Federal HiShok 50gr as best. I get one round per magazine that misses the feed ramp and lodges just above it. Its usually befween #10 and #15 of 30. Help me please figure this out!
Their video installation guide was awesome. I hadn’t fully taken apart my PMR30 before and man is it stupid. Video was a life saver. Installation was pretty straightforward and not too difficult. Packaging was well labeled and separated. The upgraded springs made a huge difference in performance. I would recommend this kit to anyone.
Helpful hint #1, first thing right off the bat swap out the left safety lever. This will hold the receiver in place, and hopefully the hammer spring too. I learned that the hard way. Tip #2, run the trigger set screws in most of the was, cut off most of one of the allen wrenches, adjust the front screw first with the trigger in the pulled position, then adjust the back set screw. You won't have to take it apart to adjust the trigger this way. I took my time, buffed the feed ramp, double checked everything before I started putting the halves together. I still had to reset it a couple of times before everything stayed in place. This firearm fires flawlessly now. Even old Winchesters that I've had since the first ammunition scare. I think it's worth the money, but maybe it's something that KelTec should be doing. Oh yeah, if you have a pair, use needle nost vise-grips to hold the spring down on the guide rod. I had to cut about 2mm off of the new ring. I thought I had it on, but it came off when I shot it. The I saw where the ring was over lapping. I would buy the set put together by M~Carbo as soon as possible. Please! 😉
