followed the directions on the video and 1st time 3 turns was to much. Good thing I ordered 2. After getting crushed crush washer off, recleaned threads with brass brush placed new crusher washer put in threads taper toward barrel, applied some more rock set and greased end of muzzle break going toward barrel and hand tightened and 2 full turns while in vise and looks great!!!
Have never had same day shipping from Mcarbo.
I am no longer an advocate of naked barrel muzzle jumping platforms. I even install brakes on my 6.5mm Creedmoor builds to stop muzzle jump. Quicker more accurate follow up shots. To assist a GOOD installation index for great control a good crush washer and temper is required. These are very consistent and easier to get the proper crush. I highly recommend them. I will continue to use MCARBO for this product.
I lost my washer and tried to replace it with something from Lowes. They had nothing with the quality of this part. I brought extras for all my guns to make sure the caps does not unscrew during firing.
Just a basic ol' crush washer. It's nice to buy one from the same shop as everything else on the bill though. I don't know if it's a have-to-have, but at that cost why not?
I bought this crush washer to use with an A2 flash hider on a Sub 2000. The flash hider has a recess before the threads that make a crush washer unusable. Not a fault of Mcarbo, but I didn't feel there was enough thread engagement before contact. I shimmed it instead. I will use this washer on an AR.
Had two orders back to back and they condensed my order into one refunding my shipping instead of charging shipping for both. Great company with upstanding dudes. And the crush is a crush and does its job 👍
Worked fine for mounting my A2 flash hider to my Ruger 10/22!
Used this to install the Ruger PC9 Carbine muzzle break. Easy to use if you look at the short installation video and follow their recommendations.
