Ordered 2 of the M Carbo recoil springs and sear springs for 2 rifles Had bent my original one previously on reassembly. Wouldn’t you know it I bent the new one too!! I was installing the spring and bolt separately followed by the trigger assembly. Was able to get it back in shape. Quick tip I discovered on the second attempt. While trying to slide the bolt in, use a long, thin flat blade screwdriver inserted through the receiver cutout to apply some force to the spring. (The same screwdriver for the trigger spring replacement). This helped the spring avoid curving away and the spring compressed nicely on the guide rod! Function checks good. Second rifle was a breeze using the screwdriver method. Delivery and email updates from M Carbo were fast and frequent. Thanks.
Brought my Mossberg 702 back to life. It wasn't cycling with any ammo. With this spring, it cycles with all 22LR ammo except for the slower speed stuff. Spring arrived quickly and it is DOING THE JOB. THANKS
This was exactly the same recoil spring as the one that came in my Plinkster - that is, until I turned it into a pretzel while incorrectly reassembling the bolt into the receiver... I bought an extra in case I get stupid again!
I ordered this spring as a backup and they unfortunately were on back order but that didn't stop Chris he advised me they would send one out ASAP and sure enough not even two weeks i received thanks.
I bent the original spring on my Mossberg 702 rifle while trying to assemble it after cleaning. I'm a total gun newbie and have only myself to blame for botching the job. Fortunately, I found a replacement part here. I ordered 2. The Mcarbo spring appeared to be of very good quality. I managed to successfully install it and went to the shooting range. The gun fired fine, proving the part to be a good fit.
I actually bought these for a Rossi RS22 because initially, I didn't know they carried Rossi parts but, it's essentially the same gun as the Mossberg. I bought these for stand bys because the spring is easily kinked if you're not super careful when you put it back together. M*Carbo is a great site. You can't go wrong with these guys. Good service and fast shipping. Plus, I like that they are vets.
I am writing this review from Saskatchewan, Canada ( great Waterfowl and Deer hunting up here, by the way ). I recently bent the crap out of the recoil spring on my Mossberg 715T Flat Top, thought to myself, no problem I'll just pick up a new one. After many calls to gun shops and gun parts distributors up here, I realized it would not be that easy, as most said good luck getting one of those up here and good luck ordering one from the U.S.A . Thankfully after scouring the internet, I found the MACARBO site, on it I found exactly what I needed. I placed my order and was hopeful for the best, after a few days I got a little nervous and sent an e-mail to MCARBO, almost immediately I received a reassurance from Chris Nelson, that It was on its way. I received the spring within a few days after the e-mail from Chris Nelson. I rushed off to the range and found it shot perfectly, I think even better than with the original spring. I purchased this for my son's 22 I took out his spring to clean it and bent the stupid recoil spring. These springs are a bytch to get in without bending the spring so I ordered 2 just in case now we are plinking again Thanks for very fast service.
