Installed the flat trigger and spring kit. Easy installation and big improvement. Thank you.
The trigger is designed for a newer release of the V1 LCP. I have a very early model, and the trigger hole has rounded ends. The trigger went in, but would run into interference on the frame before the sear would disengage. So. I could see in the red anodizing the contact location, and carefully hand filed to to remove the interference. After many trial fits, I got it working fine. Don't need the 3/32 - 4X40 set screw for over travel because the trigger now touches the frame just after sear release. After solving that, the trigger after max pull would sometimes stick back, jammed against the plastic frame. So out came the file again. remove in a little 6061 on the back, bottom of the trigger fixed that. The anodizing is now butchered, but I really love the final results. Helps to be a mechanical engineer, with my own CNC machine shop. These small changes could easily be incorporated into the trigger production, just a small Cadd/CAM change, and the DASH serial number LCP1 is solved.
Very easy to install, and having a flat trigger makes the gun fit my hand better. Well done!
Easy installation, nice quality, trigger went from 7lbs to 4.5-7.
I recently purchased a new Ruger LCP. I ordered every single upgrade that MCARBO makes for the gun, and had the parts arrive at my house even before I took delivery of the pistol. I took it out of the box, and immediately installed all of the parts. Flat trigger, trigger springs, takedown pin, magazine spring, and stainless guide pin. I've shot a stock LCP in the past, and they leave a few things to be desired. With all of these upgrades it's a pleasure to shoot, and i have peace of mind that the stronger components will serve me for a lifetime. Watch their install video and follow it close; use all the proper tools and the install will be a breeze. Will definitely buy more items in the future.
I have an early model (XXX-XXXXX) LCP which this trigger (supposedly) doesn't fit unless modified. However, I am happy to report that it dropped right in, which was quite a surprise. I planned to do a trial fit and hand-file adjustment but did not need to do so. I installed the spring and guide rod upgrades at the same time because the weapon was produced in 2009. Everything went quickly. The most difficult part was guiding the hammer catch over the front of the hammer on re-assembly. After discovering the trigger would indeed work without modification I simply removed the slide to access the tiny travel screws and within a few moments had the pull and reset just right. It is a significant change to the total pull, reset travel, and finger placement. No more tendency to pull or push the muzzle when firing because of finger inconsistency or length of pull! Wife WANTS it now!
A must when you install the trigger springs. Easy to install and set.
I added a M-Carbo flat trigger kit to my other mods on my LCP. Follow the video and instillation was very easy. Big difference over stock trigger wider and a little longer. Also its all metal stock is plastic. Top quality part you wont be disappointed.
The factory trigger was terrible. Hard pull and very rough and jerky, not smooth at all. Installed your trigger and spring kits and what a difference. Smooth as a banana peel and nice and tight with no slop. Very impressed and I highly recommend it. The spring kit really reduced the pull. I am going to put the factory return spring back in as the one you sent seems a bit too light for my liking. I liked it so much I ordered the slide pin, magazine spring and heavy duty take down pin. Bravo Zulu! E-7, USCG, Ret.
new spring kit and flat trigger upgrade. Process was easy by looking at video. purchase was easy and shipping was fast. I havent been able to shoot yet that is why it was i did not give a 5 star rating, I will write again after i shoot it. Thanks
Way mo better! Get the spring kit and stainless guide rod too!
Fells really nice on finger easy install with video can't wait to go shot Ruger LCP 380 with new trigger
Added the trigger and spring kit to my wife's LCP, no more excuses for not wanting to shoot it. Nice job !!
if you are going to break down the weapon for one thing, do it all the way. I put in the flat trigger, the spring kit, the stainless steel rod and the breakdown pin. I was particularly pleased with the video which gives step by step instructions on how to do the whole thing. Bottom line is that it makes a significant difference in the weapon's performance with a much lighter trigger pull. Buy the whole kit - you will be pleased.
Good trigger. Better with the lighter hammer spring. Doesn't bite my finger like the stock trigger. Much more comfortable for deep conceal tiny pistol. Adjusting the pre-travel and post-travel screws in the frame is not intuitive/easy.
Installed the trigger and spring kit in my LCP. What a huge difference! 6.5# pull went to 4#. Something many don't talk about is the reduction in force needed to rack the slide. I found the lighter rack to be a nice side benefit. Great products, great service and great instructional videos. Thanks!
