Review
I installed the trigger and spring kit first. Completely different gun. Trigger is smooth and quick. I love it. After finishing the modifications I was adjusting my holster ( little Fobus click holster OWB) and I touched the mag release by accident. Guess what, the mag fell out. Ordered the mag spring and it's awesome. Great parts. Warning this is a tiny weapon with tiny parts that are hard to find if they escape.
It was very easy to install the trigger after watching the video. It made a world of difference. My only complaint is that it moves side to side.
This worked better than I thought it would. The instruction video was very good. Pay attention to not releasing the firing pin spring. He emphasized this in the video. I did pay enought attention and unleashed mine in my work shop. This required about 30 minutes to find it.
Made a huge difference. From sloppy hard trigger pull to crisp break and reset. A MUST for any LCP
Bought the spring kit and flat trigger. The spring kit works fine but the dimensions of the trigger dont fit the gun very well at all. I had to replace it back to the stock bc of rubbing on the trigger guard. Also the design is generally poor bc of the amount of left/right play after installation. With the length of pull being so long on an lcp your shot wipl almost always be off at over 10 yards or even closer.
I am glad I installed this trigger on my LCP. The feel is far better than the stock trigger. The ability to remove unnecessary slack in wonderful. I installed with the trigger spring kit. I can't say anything bad about it. The pistol doesn't feel at all the same as it did in stock form. I don't mind shooting it now.
Put in the trigger, springs and take-down pin. They were a big part of improving the small pistol into a functional piece.Easy to install, just follow the video. I suspect all of their products are an easy install. I've also done a Key-Tec PF9 and S&W "J" frame with the MCARBO products.
I just installed the trigger along with the spring kit. The parts all came neatly packed and labeled and look to be high quality. The installation video is excellent and showed great closeup video of the step by step process. The one issue is that once installed and reassembled the trigger has significant side to side travel, approximately 5/16" from left to right. I went back through the instructional video again to make sure I didn't miss a spacer or something, I didn't. Nevertheless the trigger feels much better on the finger than factory, if you don't mind the side to side play. Not sure how this was overlooked in design and manufacturing, it could have been the perfect trigger.
What a difference the Mcarbo parts make. Do yourself a favor and buy them all. For $80 transform that stock LCP to a much better gun.
Love everything about this product but on thing. It wiggles left to right and that makes it feel a bit floppy.
I have reworked three of my pistols so far with every upgrade M*CARBO sells and most of the tools. In every case the staff treated me like we were lifetime friends, delivery was prompt and I've got 3 much nicer pistols for it. I've got a few Glocks and S&Ws to still do but thanks to the videos I'm getting much better at the installations and polishing.
Wow! This trigger and the spring kit made this gun so much nicer to shoot. I actually like to shoot it now. The red just looks good. Lol. Thanks for great products and videos that make installs a breeze
Well worth the small investment, you wont be disappointed. Recommendation is to get all the parts, and as always.... use the correct tools. Make the job so much easier.
Great up grade, much better, Thank you. Works great I wanted red but they were out and settled for black.
I followed the directions on the video exactly. This trigger refused to return fully. I even installed the oem return spring and tried readjusting the trigger it still wouldn’t return. I removed the trigger and reinstalled the oem trigger and it worked perfectly. I threw the flat trigger into my lcp parts drawer. I did use the lcp spring kit from mcarbo it did reduce my trigger pull by 2 pounds.
The installation of the trigger was very easy following the video instructions. After installation the trigger pull test came in at a consistent 3.1 pounds. Exceptional. I also replaced the takedown pin and slide guide rod.
