The MCARBO trigger spring does as advertised. It reduces the stock AR-15 trigger pull to a pleasantly lower pull. It is easy to install. For anything other than precision target shooting, this $12 upgrade is the way to go!
I have a 1977 Colt SP-1 AR-15. Because of a 1:12 barrel twist for optimal performance and reduced expense I shoot Hornady 55 grain HP steel case match ammo. After installing the Mcarbo AR-15 trigger spring kit it has reduced the excessive trigger pull by 50%. Also I have experienced no failures to fire with the steel case ammo. This spring kit is a God send. Thank you Mcarbo.
I now have a 4 pound trigger that is very smooth. I it only took about 10 minutes and $12.95 👍
4.5 lb. trigger pull as advertised. Polished my mil-spec trigger and hammer contact surfaces and replaced the mil-spec spring with M*Carbo's spring and I have a much smoother 4.5 lb. trigger. This is by far the best bang for your buck you will find if you want to upgrade your standard trigger. Absolutely love it!
I bought an MCarbo spring kit for my 22LR and was so impressed, I had to try this on my AR. Everything is mil spec, but this spring. It went from a hard, fierce, gritty pull, to a smooth, predictable break. Do not hesitate! Excellent design and reliable. It makes shooting more fun and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a better feel out of their mil spec trigger.
For the money this thing made a big difference. Blackout pistol for my kids to hunt with and this lightened the trigger significantly for them so that they are jerking the trigger.
I have a minimally upgraded AR-15 that I use for competition. I ordered this along with a number of other available parts for my CZ SP-01 and Stoeger M3K. Hands down the easiest way and best bang for your buck investment to upgrade triggers above stock. This definitely lightened the trigger pull!
I put this on an old ALG trigger and am avergaging 4.35 lbs. Couldn't be happier.
Super easy to install and big difference on the trigger pull. If you own a AR-15, you should consider this “NICE” upgrade. MCARBO ROCKS MAN!!!
I saw the other glowing reviews, but wasn't sure what to expect. I figured for the price, I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. My stock trigger was gritty, and jerky. Very uneven through the pull. I ordered this spring, got it SUPER fast (along with follow up emails and a link to the installation video). I used a Dremel to polish the trigger while I had it out (great way to get familiar with the workings of a trigger), and got this spring installed easily. My shots are SO much better now! I have a lighter pull, virtually all the grittiness is gone, and the gun is now predictable as to when it goes boom! It's a significant upgrade for very little money. I shot a few different kinds of steel and brass, with zero failures.
Works just as described. My trigger was a little over 7 lbs. After a quick and easy installation, I am down around 5 lbs. best $12.00 you can spend.
Notwithstanding the shipping time (5 days to go 90 miles, but that's the fault of USPS), color me happy. Installation was just as easy as the video indicated. And, my Mil-Spec trigger pull dropped from 6.75 pounds to 5.5 pounds. I haven't been able yet to see if it tightened my grouping, but I suspect it will. Another "Atta-boy" for M*Carbo!
No doubt, the easiest of M*CARBO spring kits to install. Took 5 minutes for a stock trigger reduction from 6lb. 6 oz. to 5lb. even. I'll take that any time.
I had gotten a Axis Pro Trigger Kit from M*Carbo before & it is super nice. I used the 3.5lbs pring in it. So, I ordered 2 AR springs. Both were easy to install. Both did bring down the pull weight on the trigger. But, the trigger pull could be just a tad lighter to be really nice. That being said, it is still much better than the factor spring that the lowers came with. But, I will probably save money and end up dropiing a Rise Armament, Timney, or Geissele in it
Easy to install. Difference is night and day on my palmetto state lower.
I put the spring in both my inexpensive Delton and S&W 15/22 . it was very easy following the video .the Delton went from an average of 7 pounds on my spring gauge to 5 1/2 so that is much better . i was hoping for more but that is fine. the S&W went from an average of 5 to exactly 4 every time .so a little improvement for a few bucks .
