After doing the set of trigger upgrades, this spring set made a big difference in how the trigger felt and reacted. I polished the contact parts of the trigger sear, hammer, disconnector while I was in there. Made it very crisp.
I purchased and installed the trigger spring kit, trigger, and screw upgrade for my sub 2000 gen 2. I'm not the greatest "hands on, do it yourself" kind of guy when it comes to this stuff, but Mcarbo's video's could NOT have been any better, and gave the confidence needed. The spring kit reduced my trigger pull to 5 1/2 lbs from a factory 7 1/2 - 8 lbs pull. The new metal trigger feels so much better then the plastic original, and gives the firearm a better overall appearance. The screws were definitely a nice touch too (adding to that appearance factor). I have yet to put rounds down range with the upgrades installed, but I can tell already that I'm going to like it. All of the Mcarbo parts appear to be great quality, and went into place without any issues or problems. The only frustrating issue I had during this procedure, came from dealing with the threaded barrel spacer between grip/frame panels. I had complications with this barrel spacer just spinning and not being able to tighten or loosen my screws. I figured it out on my own (by use of a vice), and later found that Mcarbo had previously addressed this issue in one of his YouTube videos. And it had nothing to do with the new parts! This guy seriously leaves NOTHING out! Big time Props!!! Very well done!!! Customer service and overall communication is second to none! I sense a genuine passion for the products he sells, as well as that same passion for customer satisfaction. I will highly recommend to others! Thank you Sir!!!
I have shot about 400 rounds since changing out the trigger springs (and an Aztec trigger) the creep is removed and the trigger is crisp rather than spongey. Similar feel to a tapco trigger on an ak. It took me a couple hours but changing the springs is not an overly difficult task.
The product was shipped and received within a week. Easy installation instructions and online videos if needed. I am customer for life. USA strong!!!!
Kit worked perfectly. No creep & clean break. Great job Mcarbo!
Trigger is definitely lighter.
Greatly improves the trigger on the sub 2000.
I ordered and installed the entire MCARBO kit(everything for Sub 2000) after taking my Sub-2000 to the range and firing 150 rounds through it. Prior to installing the kit I found the Sub-2000's trigger to have a long/spongy pull and a unpredictable break. After installing the entire kit offered by MCARBO and going to the range yesterday, I must say my Sub-2000 has been transformed into a fighting carbine, the break of the trigger is crisp and totally predictable. I usually don't review products like this but I'm telling you the trigger/spring kit offered by this company really brings the KelTec Sub-2000 into the upper levels of the carbine world. The trigger kit makes the carbine shoot like a high-end trigger job, and the metal trigger makes for a much better trigger then the one that comes with the gun. I don't understand why Keltec didn't put a trigger kit of this level in the Carbine in the first place. The metal trigger guard also is a well crafted part and seems to improve the overall quality of the gun. I also install the upgraded screws, which I couldn't really tell the difference from the ones that originally came with the carbine, but I'm going to take their word for it based on how great the other products are. The rubber part for the operating handle is a must have for protecting your finger when you work the action on the Sub-2000, works great and you can work the action all day without injuring yourself. I installed the sling kit but I over tightened the screw and broke it so I'm probably going to contact MCARBO and see if I can order a replacement screw or just replacement sling adaptor. I've added a few additional products not sold by MCARBO to my Sub2000 such as a Aluminum/adjustable rear sight which is priceless if you're planning on using a red do. I also installed a barrel stabilization kit and a recoil but pad which is a must have on the Sub 2000. I'm not the best gunsmith wanna be on the planet, so the install on all of these parts took me about 6 hours to get everything working properly. In closing I highly recommend the MCARBO parts for the Sub 2000, you will be happy with the results of these parts.
Installed spring kit, performance trigger bar, stainless steel hammer bushing, stainless steel feed ramp and carbon steel grip pin screw set on my SUB-2K. Install was very straight forward after watching the video three times. A definite improvement over the stock trigger.
Awesome trigger pull weight reduction. Trigger and grip plays a crucial part with accuracy! Do yourself a favor and order the bundle, you’ll save money! I didn’t order the bundle and ended up buying each part of the trigger system and the all in one bundle separate because I first thought I didn’t need all the parts in the bundle, but then realized I wanted them because each part really improves the sub2000 a lot and really makes it much more durable.
The product was easy to install and is in high quality
Gives a lighter, more consistent break than the stock spring system. Obviously install with the trigger and trigger guard and is now available as a set.
Definitely reduces the trigger pull. But I really did not have an issue with it before. But with my HT60 from Hunting Tactical this makes for a truly modern rifle.
I bought and installed this spring kit along with the performance trigger bar, stainless steel hammer bushing, stainless steel feed ramp and carbon steel grip pin screw set on my SUB-2K. Install was very straight forward after watching the video. I did have to push out one of the aluminum pins as a screw was stuck so if you are working on your SUB-2K definitely get the carbon steel grip pin and screws. My highly calibrated itchy trigger finger noticed a nice reduction in trigger pull.
