This kit lowered the trigger pull to just over 4 lbs.
This kit took about 2 pounds off the trigger pull on my Gen 1 Sub2K ... Now it is NICE & SMOOTH. The MCARBO "how to" video works for both Gen 1 and Gen 2 weapons with one notable difference (the castle nut that holds the bolt carrier tube to the polymer receiver halves is threaded onto the Gen 1 rather than bonded with Loctite as shown in the video which is for a Gen 2). I did a little buffing and polishing at the pivot points and contact surfaces then cleaned and applied a light film of synthetic oil to all the trigger parts. I would recommend watching the MCARBO video at least once if not twice before proceeding to do your trigger and paying close attention. There are parts that can fly away if you're not careful so don't get careless and let Murphy cause you to go hunting for parts. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a better trigger on their Sub2K.
Ordered this spring kit together with trigger for my Kel Tec 2000. Very nice upgrade. Chris was very helpful during the installation, I texted him pictures, and he guided me thru. Trigger pull after the upgrade is almost 2.5 lb better. Highly recommend.
Prep yourself by watching the instructional video a couple times before you jump into this one. Very nice basic upgrade to reduce the trigger pull -- do yourself a favor and look at the upgrade kit. I ended up buying all the basics in two separate orders, so only had to pull the Sub apart one time.
Great trigger, I'm getting another for my Gen 1.
I replaced the factory spring with these & noticed and immediate improvement. The pull is alot smoother & the break is crisper. I would definitely recommend this upgrade to anyone considering it.
Mcarbo has done it again with this amazing spring kit mod for the keltec sub 2000 . First of all when you order from Mcarbo you receive top notch customer service , they treat you like family . I never have had an order be delivered so fast and managed to exceeded my expectations again, I mean I knew I was getting a great product but I never thought it would be so incredible of a upgrade and difference . I was pulling about 8 lbs before and now around 5 lbs just great . Thanks again Mcarbo keep up the amazing work .
This spring kit came withe Pro Performance Bundle, but I wanted tp just point out the differences in the original springs versus these. Overall with the bundle replacement, i lowered my trigger pull an easy 5 pounds. So you are going to need these even if you don't replace everything. These are a great set of springs to go with. Night and day...night and day....
I am the old arthritis guy referred to in the video, LOL. First off, I have been gunsmithing all kinds of guns from black powder to Ar-15s, long range rifles and a bunch more for 30 plus years. This is one of the most fiddly jobs I have ever done. The springs want to pop out of place on assembly, it's very hard to get everything lined up and make it stay. My advice is to buy all of your internal upgrades at one time so you only have to open the lower up once. Not knocking the Mcarbo parts, they are a big improvement over stock. Just the internal design of the sub-2000 isn't well engineered, hence the need to upgrade so many parts. Strange because my PF9 and the wife's P32 are straight forward designs that Ruger and everyone else have copied. Anyway the results were well worth it. This in combination with the recoil buffer and recoil pad brought my groups from 8 inches at 50 yards to 4.5 inches. Also Mcarbo customer service is second to none.
The trigger spring upgrade is definitely worth getting. You will notice a difference.
Thank goodness for the installation video on this one. This job was super simple. The trigger feels nice now, I only wish I would have gotten the rest of the internals but I wasn't expecting such a positive change. I'm not kidding, this was really an easy job thanks to the video. Follow it and you'll be fine.
I had already installed an aluminum trigger onto my Kel-Tec Sub2000 .40 S&W, which helped considerably. (Glad to see that you are now selling a replacement trigger and would HIGHLY recommend replacing springs and trigger at the same time.) Your video is excellent and clear, so I took my time and replaced everything without a problem. On my cheap scale, the spring set brought the weapon from a 5 3/4 lb. trigger pull to a 4 1/4 lb. pull - right where I wanted it - and gave it a smooth, firm pull. I added a butt pad from ATI so I can shoot for an hour without fatigue and I am a really happy camper - that seems to always need to buy more ammo.
The trigger feels so much better with this spring: gone is the hard pull to get the trigger to break. Makes shooting accurately much easier. I love this product!
This and the trigger make a night and day difference in the S2 K. I put it on a gen 2 and it works flawlessly. Worth ever penny and the little time (thanks to the video).
