No problem ordering the reduced power springs, have ordered a cooler looking trigger from other manufacturer, arrived in a timely manner, nice package, plenty information and the on line videos are a most. You have to have a GOOD knowledge of guns mechanism (I am a machinist) therefore I could improve on the video but they are OK. First my trigger was over 8 lb pull, by just polishing the hack saw marks on the NONHARDEN hammer and trigger surfaces (started with 150 grit ended with 1500) DO NO CHANGE THE ANGLE, just take the mill marks out and get a good shine, that made it a 6, 6.5 lb trigger pull. Took it apart (You have to like doing this) and installed the Mcarbo kit, impressed is no the word, jubilant with an ear to ear smile is more descriptive... 3.4 lb consistent time as after time. The sub 2000 went from a flint lock to my AR 3.5 lb pull. You can buy all kind of cool things for this gun but the kit including the trigger should be NUMERO UNO if you think she is fun at the range wait to you tried this. The pull still long but it is so slick and crisp at the end that your group at 100 yards, what ever yours is, will improve no matter how good a shot you were. This company have send me many fallow up email, they really concern about my experience with them, if they make anything for my guns I Will buy it on a 3.4 trigger pull/second!
I installed this on my sub-2000 40 cal and it was easy to install works very well. would I buy it again yes. I just picked up the sub-2000 9mm
Why oh Why do some firearm mfg's produce some good hardware and then put plastic in key functioning components such as triggers or sights puzzles me , gotta be a price point . Well my experience with M CARBO products has been perfect to this point. Not only with product quality but instructional info available and a company staff that is on top of their game! I would not hesitate recommending this trigger it improved feel, grouping and confidence. Thanks Guys now make a sight
Good spring kit , good instruction aids available as well as M CARBO install. Much lighter trigger . Better groups. I recommend this item.
Hi Chris, The three spring kit for the Kel Tec Sub 2000 is excellent. It did what it said it would do...trigger pull reduced by 2-3 lbs from original 8.5 lbs. Packaging was just right. Product arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Thanks for a great product. Keep up the good work. Craig McGarvey
This went quite well, and the videos made it easy. The trigger spring interfered slightly with the plastic frame slightly, but relieving it while modifying it for the new trigger fixed that in about 5 seconds (Dremel to the rescue!).
Took my Sub2K trigger pull from 8.5 lbs to 4.5. Much improved.
Great video help to install. If you have a sub 2k this is a must do upgrade.
I encourage anyone who wants to reduce that snappy trigger pull get this kit! If you follow the outstanding video your replacement will be easy as falling off a log. I went to the range today and proud to say mcarbo products are in my rifle!
If you want great trigger and quick follow up shots, this trigger spring kit is a must. At first I thought the installation was going to be hard and daunting, but the video is well made and goes into great details.
Love the pull of the upgraded trigger with the M•CARBO trigger springs. The install video is a must. You need to be confident in your skills for this install. It's not really as hard as it looks but it is tedious. I didn't have any trouble changing the springs. If you are changing the trigger and trigger guard you should do all three upgrades at the same time.
I installed the trigger spring kit and my trigger pull is 4.5lbs ,can't get any better than that. Wonderful product. If you have a sub2k you have to get t his product
MCarbo has achieved HERO status - a much needed product, with excellent video detail on installing it. IMO metal trigger and spring kit are MUST dos on this gun; unsure the metal feed ramp is necessary, but I opted to put it in since I'd have the gun apart. Shot last weekend, and it really turns the Sub2K into a different gun. Pro-Tip - be thoughtful about what upgrades you want to install; I only want to take that gun down that far ONCE. It's not Rubik's cube, but not something I want to be doing often. On reassembly, it is likely one of the spring legs pops out the back of the receiver slightly, creating a 1/16th of an inch gap in the back of the receiver/grip. Use a flat bladed screwdriver to push this spring back in as a last step while you're closing the halves of the receiver together - this step is shown in the MCarbo video, but is easily overlooked.
I've ordered several different mcarbo sets for my rimfires and all have been great inexpensive upgrades. I knew this one would be at least worth the asking price. Man was I surprised at just how smooth, light and crisp it made my gen2 sub2k. It was the equivalent of going from a gi ar15 trigger to a act version. You know it would take an expensive complete drop in unit to make it match grade but the spring kit gave me results like the act does. The trigger has a consistent smooth pull with a very easy to recognize breaking point now. Before it was little spongy and couldn't quite get the breaking point identified. I took it out to the range and placed 15 rounds into a ragged hole at 25 yards with iron sights and a basic rifle rest. The gun was already accurate but add on the ability to know precisely when your trigger will break and you gain much better control over the guns accuracy. This was worth every penny. The gen2 has all the upgrades i wanted except for a decent trigger. Now there is nothing else i feel I need for it. Side note...i had trouble with the install being my first time to fully disassemble the rifle down to the fcg. I called mcarbo and they were so patient and helpful to me. We even discussed how to put her back together after I messed up other areas of the re install that were not related to the spring kit. I even received follow up emails asking how it was going and if there was anything else to help me with re assembly. That type of customer service is hard to find these days. Top that off with a fantastic product at great prices and made in the good old USA what more could you ask for.
I spent a relaxing afternoon completely upgrading my Sub 2000. It was relaxing putting on the parts because it was easy! I worked right along with the tutorial video, and the instruction was awesome! This was the first time I tried my hand at making weapons mods, and MCARBO made me feel like a pro! Thank you MCARBO for the awesome parts, I am truly satisfied with my purchase. If you have the time and the money, do all the upgrades at once, your truly appreciate the process!
