Everything went together smoothly. The Video tells you exactly what to do even showing the orientation of the spring in case you get distracted and forget how it goes back together. I went ahead an polished the seer and have dry fired it and i can tell you its much lighter and feels great. Cant wait to go shoot it this weekend!
Installed the spring kit following the video on line, found it pretty simple to do, only issue I had was the locking plate went flying! All parts stayed in gun, so no real issue. First time firing, I was surprised at first shot, happened faster than I was expecting, just a matter of getting used to lighter trigger pull. Had the gun shop I frequent test the pull, a low of 3.9, a high of 4.3, so average just over 4.0 Much better than the stock 6.0+/-. I'd recommend anyone with a Hellcat do this upgrade!!
Installing the SS sleeve, lighter striker spring and a little polishing brought my almost 6# pull weight down to 4# 10 oz. Adding the lighter seal spring and minor polishing dropped the average pull to 4# 2 oz. and somewhat smoother. i am pleased with the results, but not satisfied, as I am looking for closet to 3#'s. I have ordered the Monarch HYVE adjustable trigger to improve the trigger action and while the gun is apart I will do a more aggressive polishing in hopes of reaching my goal.
ooh my! I've got to say the trigger is too light for a carry gun in my opinion. With that being said the Hellcat is not my carry gun but my play gun. I was looking to smooth the pull and not lighten it but I got to say I kind of like it. Also, super easy to install cause you watch the video and do the same. As the title says I'm happy the stainless sleeve but the springs are a bonus to me.
used this at a local idpa match. couple of stages for fun i did all head shots out to 25yrds with my hellcat osp with just iron sights. no way i coulda done this with the stock trigger.
It was all very easy to install with a few tools. The Hellcat trigger and TRIGGER spring kit. Very sturdy and a smooth trigger pull. The preset function on the TRIGGER works well.
The install video made the kit install easy. Before install, the trigger pull average was 6# 2 oz. After install, 4# 2.5 oz. About right for a carry gun. I did polish the sections pointed out in the video.
It was easy to install and I went from 5.5 to 6.5 pound trigger pull. For me it dropped to a consistent 3.5 pull.
Recently I talked this kit on my Hellcat OSP with the manual safety. The available video doesn't address the manual safety. I was able to figure it out ànyway. A new video for people without experience would be beneficial. After several hundred rounds the trigger was high 7 lbs. and after installation it is lower 4 lbs. and crisp. I may upgrade the trigger later but the reduced pull has increased accuracy.
Prior to installing this spring kit and stainless steel striker sleeve I had already upgraded my Hellcat trigger to the Hyve Monarch; mainly to reduce the pre-travel. On my pistol this increased the trigger pull force by about 8 ounces over the OEM trigger's, to 6 lb, 12 oz. With the M-Carbo springs installed the trigger pull dropped to 4 lb 10 oz. I also polished the internal surfaces suggested in M-Carbo's installation video. I really love the results with both the Hyve trigger and the M-Carbo springs. Installation was easy after watching the instructional video. Thanks to M-Carbo for a good product and great customer support.
While I appreciate and respect the work done by Mcarbo, this was an extremely underwhelming upgrade. I installed this kit and the Mcarbo trigger. The result is barely noticeable except if you maybe have another stock Hellcat to do a side by side comparison. My digital gauge didn’t even report a 1 lb reduction and in case you are wondering, I definitely did not make the mistake of reinstalling one of the old springs. This kit plus the trigger cost around $130 combined, even if it was $50, I would consider it not worth it based on the lack luster results. Sorry Mcarbo. I still have faith in you guys, just not on this particular spring kit or trigger upgrade.
I really wanted this to work but after putting in the lighter striker spring I get a lot of light primer strikes and I never got this prior to putting the spring I have contacted them about this but I have got no response very disappointed
