Review
Just bought your MCARBO LCP II Flat Trigger and springs replacement kits; followed your installation videos with no problems. Adjusted the trigger to reduce the trigger pull then took it to the range today. OMG what a difference. That little pistol sat unused for many years quite frankly because the long trigger pull made it almost impossible to hit a decent shot pattern at 20 feet. It also pinched the crap out of my trigger finger. Well no more. Although my shot pattern at 20ft isn’t that of my 9mm Sig P325X, I’m totally blown away with the improvement. Now if you could get me a Flat Trigger for my LC380 (already replaced the springs with those that I bought from MCARBO which helped some) I would bring it out of retirement too. Thanks Jesse
I usually carry a S&W shield plus but saw lots of reviews on the LCP Max and thought smaller lighter would be a nice change. After purchasing and going to the range I was not impressed. The trigger was terrible and pinched every shot. The long stroke was tolerable but the 8lb pull kept me off target. I was going to trade the gun away when a friend told me about M Carbo. I bought every upgrade they make trigger, spring kit, recoil spring, take down pin the works. Every piece was a perfect fit, easy to install and huge improvement. At the range with a 5-pound trigger pull no pinching and a little less recoil I was able to put two rounds on target. All these upgrades a well worth it. I'll be keeping my MAX.
I'm 78 years old and the original trigger hurt my finger and I didn't like the feel of it. I have the original LCP and it's trigger was better than the MAX. Bought your trigger kit, had a gunsmith install it and what a difference. It now feels just like a trigger should feel. No shot hesitation, etc. Great value for 59 bucks! Mike H.
I purchased the Ruger LCP2 Trigger, Spring kit, and SS rod. All were promptly shipped and the day they arrived I installed them. The installation videos are excellent and really speed up the process. I have been doing my own trigger jobs for about 50 years and really like the ease, quality, support, and price of M*CARBO products, and have been using them since they started into business. They have really speed-ed up the process for me!
Easy to install and adjust, With the installation of this trigger and the spring kit, makes this weapon very accurate. Because the weapon is small and light, a long trigger pull and trigger pressure diminishes the accuracy. With the installation of these two upgrades that problem is solved. Getting rid of the trigger bite is nice too. Customer service and the videos make the process easy for anyone moderately handy.
My wife bought me the hammer and spring kit, for Christmas. More expensive than the parts I bought for my 365s, but brought the trigger pull weight down from 8# to 4 1/2#. Now, they need to engineer a new sear/hammer so that when you pull the trigger it is a true single action. Presently, when you pull the trigger on a LCP Max, you’re actually pushing the hammer back about 1/8” which is why you probably can’t get the trigger pull any better. I suppose the lawyers at Ruger thought it was a good idea
Ya make it easy. I have upgraded everything I have with MCarbo kits so I purchased everything for the LCP Max. With your videos it makes me feel like a gun smith which I am not.( started by ordering the wrong kit lcp2 so had to wait for correct trigger springs. 🧙???)... I also did some polishing inside and I think your polishing kit is a must do. So all good according to my finger, the trigger definitely lost weight and travel. Shoots noticeably smoother and seams to have better control. That's about as scientific as it gets.. Love it!, Get it... Note. Before the kit had the magazine fall out while shooting. Turns out my thumb would push the button. My fix, flip the button push to the other side, this works. A better solution might be to install MCarbo mag spring but im not fast anymore, just half fast so I got used to having release on right side... bottom line... thankful for MCatbo team for making my target getting sundays more enjoyable. Keep it going, need Ruger Mark IV lite trigger n spring kit...
Triggers in LCP’s were all atrocious until MCarbo came along. I tried one from a competitor that didn’t measure up. I just purchased the second one for my latest LCP, the 75th Anniversary edition, which has a much improved factory trigger but will still be replaced with an MCarbo. This trigger makes the diminutive pistol worth carrying.
The trigger is a night a difference between the stock one. Installation was a breeze. I’ve ran about a 100 rounds of just fmj, but it is clear that the MCarbo trigger allows the user to dial in the trigger to bring the lcp max to where it should be. Additionally, the company is very forward thinking in regards to customer care and the attention to detail of their products. Shipping, packaging of the product is on point. MCarbo sent an additional email of “How to videos” to assist with installation of the trigger as well as other products that can be used with the lcp line of pistols. After, I saw how professionally MCarbo responded to Galloway Precision on their forum, it was evident the company is ran by professionals, veterans. Again, great trigger and outstanding company.
What an improvement over stock finger pinching trigger .
This is the 2nd of the that I've bought. Love the look and the quality. They need to work on communication though. Never did get a tracking number even after I emailed about it. Showed up about a week later. Probably won't buy anything else from this company until they fix their problem.
Mechanically this is a very nice upgrade to the factory trigger. The installation video is clear and easy to understand. Customer service is lacking. When I purchased the trigger MCARBO was offering a "17.76%" off special. In all fairness, I did neglect to enter the discount code at checkout. However, within minutes I emailed MCARBO and reported my error, with the hope someone there would take care of it. A few days later I received a return email informing me the discount was no longer being offered. Yes, the initial mistake was mine. Considering I contacted customer service within minutes of placing the order I think they could have applied the discount to my order. MCARBO makes some nice products I really like, however I have serious reservations about future purchases.
The MCARBO trigger is a huge improvement over the stock Ruger trigger! I love that the pre travel is adjustable.
I really really like the LCP Max. My ONLY complaint was that the trigger very often and quite painfully would pinch my finger on the bottom. MCarbo’s trigger feels really smooth & is made very well. But most importantly it DOESN’T PINCH. The adjustable reset is a nice perk as well but that wasn’t why I bought the trigger. The install video was too hurried without enough time to see what he was doing without going back &trying to pause it multiple times. The printed instructions SHOULD have had the complete install in clear pics. So, although I love the trigger, the video was sub-par and the printed version incomplete without the video……which, though very accurate, was just hurried through. Still give it an A
The MCarbo spring kit. While the trigger by itself is immeasurably better than the original, installing the spring kit with the MCarbo trigger makes the LCP what it should be.
