Review
Far better than the stock trigger and noticeably better than the other after market trigger that is available. Customizable, comfortable, and performed as advertised. This is well worth the upgrade and in my experience improved the performance of the firearm significantly. I replaced the trigger only.
The short stroke flat trigger clearly outperforms the original not only in smoothness and comfort, but it also eliminates the dreaded pinch. Installation was a breeze with the aid of the excellent video. I now have a superior upgrade for my once disappointing pistol.
Thanks guys great trigger I like it a lot over stock thanks for everything
This Mcarbo trigger is excellent quality. I love the adjustability. It was easy to install with the Video provided!!
Like the aluminum design, rather than plastic or mim. Use more finger tip on this trigger to avoid the nasty bite from the original trigger. Much less from this one. Along with the spring kit made it easier to get better groups, more enjoyable to shoot. Have only 2- 3 hundred rounds after upgrades, no problems.
Don't know which of these parts are great, but the conbination is fantastic for the LCP Max. No longer get trigger bite, and the action is light and super smooth. Makes shooting the LCP more than just tolerable and makes me more accurate. Great combination of products.
With all the upgrades, it significantly improved the pistol. IMO use the 12lb spring, the 10lb one is too light for carry and doesn't feed all types of ammo. The 12lb spring gave me an average trigger pull in the mid-4lb range. The upgraded trigger can be set to have almost no travel, which was my issue with the stock gun. It also has a more noticeable reset than the stock trigger. It eliminates the annoying metallic "ping" sound when dry firing as well. From a non-gunsmith (but someone who tinkers) the video provided by this company is easy to follow. Make sure you buy the correct loctite and punches before disassembling the gun though. Just spend the extra money and get everything, feels like a pro tuned performance center gun now. Also, if you are replacing the recoil spring, make sure to put the original INNER spring back into the gun. The stock gun uses 2 recoil springs and the upgrade is only the outer spring.
I tried a competitors trigger on my LCP Max and wasn’t thrilled with the results. Pistol was barely useable. I installed all the MCARBO parts available for the pistol. Now I can actually shoot it. It’s now a great little back up pocket pistol.
Trigger not worth the money, you have to spend more money for the spring kit to make any differents. Still only dropped pull weight from 7 to 5.5 pounds.
This trigger is amazing! It's smooth and very quiet as compared to the stock trigger. I highly recommend it!
After trying another brand of replacement trigger only having it to fail after less than 50 rounds I decided to try this one to try and eliminate the blood blister I kept getting on my trigger finger. I had mine installed by a very competent gunsmith. After my last practice I'm sitting here with a bandaid on my finger. Imho you're better off staying with the stock trigger as it does the same thing. No gunsmithing fees for something that offers no improvement.
Try to imagine the sick feeling of an everyday carry gun that can only shoot one or two bullets before it jams and is hard to clear. That is the state of my Ruger LCP Max after installing the M*Carbo trigger, spring kit, takedown pin, guide rod, and recoil spring. I used the 10lb spring. I followed the videos very carefully. I used all the right tools, and dry firing is smooth. It is more accurate than before, but out of 9 attempted rounds, 3 failed to load all the way into the chamber, and one was seated in the chamber, but the hammer was not cocked. I had to drop the mag to clear the three that jammed on the ramp.
I tried another company’s replacement trigger and my LCP Max was still beating my finger to hell. Thought about selling it but gave the MCARBO a shot and it’s like a whole new pistol. Much more pleasant to shoot.
The stock trigger and springs measured 7 1/4 lbs. The M carbo trigger and spring kit brought the trigger pull down to 3 lbs 14 oz. No longer jerking the shots low and left. No light strikes with the 12 lb hammer spring.
Since I purchased ,and had installed, the trigger and spring kit - I don't know which was responsible for the excellent results ! Comfortable and much easier to shoot accurately with these products installed.
After having the trigger and trigger spring kit installed my 380 Max preformed like a completely different pistol. No more trigger bite and lighter pull. The slide no longer rattles around. Reccomend.
