Easy to install while doing the spring job. Much better than the oem plastic trigger
The springs do most of the work, but if you've shot the sub 2k you know the plastic trigger feels terrible. This transforms the trigger into a delightfully light and crisp pull.
Feels so much better than the stock trigger. I can't say how much it helped by just changing it because I did spring kit at the same time.
Every Kel-tec weapon I own has an aluminum trigger. This is an excellent upgrade!
Installation is miserable. If you aren’t an extremely patient person don’t even try it.
This trigger is excellent. It is finely machined and smooth to the touch, yet sturdy indicating no risks of deformation. It doesn't heat up after extensive use nor does the blacking wear off. The original kel tec trigger is plastic and has a tendency to bend after extensive use, causing a lengthened trigger pull and decreased accuracy. The trigger also has ridges that decreases comfort, whereas the aluminum trigger Mcarbo provides is aluminum and smooth, making for more comfortable shooting with increased durability. As like in my trigger spring kit review, if you're planning on switching the trigger, it's a good time to buy the trigger spring kit as well to decrease trigger pull since you'll need to expose the inside of the sub 2000 anyways. Mcarbo provides a video illustrating every single step needed to take down the sub 2000 and install the springs and trigger, and put the gun together. I would strongly suggest the video be watched while installing as there are intricacies to the weapon that are easily missed. As with the trigger spring kit, this product also is well worth the money. This is an essential upgrade that should be purchased with the trigger spring kit as it drastically changes the shooting experience.
WOW!!! is all I can say!!! Replaced the stock plastic trigger along with a the spring kit and upgraded screw kit and also polished the hammer and sear prior to reassembly and what a difference it made in everything about this little carbine. The Trigger pull was reduced to I would say approx. 4.5 to 5.0 pounds with a smooth crisp break. This is a MUST UPGRADE to anyone who Has Not replaced their Stock Trigger and Springs!!!! Thank You MCARBO!!!!

This is one of those parts where you feel the quality. Makes a difference in folding the gun. I went with the flat trigger for my .40 - provided a SOLID firm feel with no flex. Good upgrade!
I felt it's important to get rid of plastic parts that are most critical to the function. This aluminum trigger fits perfect and feels firm
I actually had a OEM break .. I replaced the OEM triggers with the MCarbo metal ones, so if anyone wants so OEM parts ..let me know .. I am not going back to them ..
I'd give this 4 1/2 stars if I could. I bought this with & installed it with the M-CARBO spring kit. Installation was pretty straightforward & with the videos easily accessed on the M-CARBO website, done correctly. Pro: Aluminum trigger. Not plastic that can flex which can make the already not-too-great triggerpull of the Kel Tec SUB 2000 seem worse. It is VERY well made & finished. Con: The bottom (in my case, R side as I'm R handed) is a bit "sharp" to the touch & should be more rounded. Both sides should be done for the benefit of our fellow southpaw shooters. It took me less than 2 minutes with a fine file to reshape the bottom of the new trigger for my own comfort. This isn't a problem but now the nice black finish has silver accents where I filed. All-in-all, a great replacement part. I have & will continue to recommend M-CARBO & this part to friends.
The stock trigger is a sloppy POS, but this unit is quite sturdy. Minor modification needed to frame for fitment, but that was too easy.
I ordered the aluminum trigger because I wanted to be able to put set screws in my trigger make the follow through adjustable. I was suprised by how much of a difference the aluminum trigger made to the overall feel of the rifle. I'm really happy with this product.
This is an excellent aftermarket replacement for the OEM trigger; gone is the trigger flex felt with the OEM polymer trigger. Be advised that I selected this part alongside the MCARBO Trigger Spring Kit and Aluminum Trigger Guard so that I could do the installation of all three all at once -- i.e. 'while I was in there'. If you're on the fence about one or more of the parts ... or are considering doing them one at a time ... my recommendation is to buy once/cry once because you won't be disappointed with the quality and because it'll save a lot of labor if you only need to tear down your rifle once to do all three upgrades in a single shot.
