Installed on both a G2C and a G3C and it's awesome. Get the shank tool and watch the extremely helpful video Be warned the sear spring is not that easy for most of us.
This isn’t my first trigger spring kit from mcarbo I have ordered for another platform(savage axis)and yet another great product from the brotherhood looks like I have 2 more kits to order for my mossberg 500s
Easy to install, please watch the video! The before and after difference was out of this world. You nailed this one MCarbo!
Definitely worth buying it is easy to install also you you aren’t sure about you doing this install MCARBO has an install video. Definitely worth buying it has increased performance and response.
I really like this gun, however the trigger has been just unbearable to me. I installed an Asmund trigger and that helped a lot. This spring kit put it over the top. The pull is still long, but now it is smooth and very crisp to me. This is a very good upgrade to a gun that has a lot going for it. I have always liked the ergos on this gun but just didn't like how it shot. Now it is much nicer to shoot and will get more attention. Great product.
I upgraded my G2C with a Keep Tinkering single acting trigger and trigger spring. Does this spring set work with that modification? By the way, the trigger and trigger bar upgrade you provided for my Keltec Sub2000 is sweet. Should have ordered the steel pins and screws though.
Recently purchased a kit for my G2C slide/lower and immediately bought a second kit for my TORO slide!!! this kit is super easy to install - Vlad goes through all the steps and never leaves you scratching your head. has me feeling like a regular Joseph Kendo, but once you get it apart, everything drops in smooth and easy. ran about 200 rounds between both slides at the range - ran absolutely flawless and couldnt have asked for more. there is nothing quite like installing an upgrade and not only it functioning but exceeding your expectations. since I had a spare sear spring from the second kit - i thought it would be a good idea to see if it was at all possible to drop that in my GX4 until something official came out. I reached out to the help email and it was Vlad who responded to me and said it was totally possible and that they were going to be coming out with a new kit shortly so stay tuned. again, install was super easy and smooth and the GX4 platform is a literal breeze to take down in comparison to the G2/G3 counterparts. I cant thank you all enough at MCARBO - I truly appreciate you. the customer service is top notch and the parts kits are everything you would hope to expect. - M
I only installed the firing pin spring so far. Trigger pull is1 lbs. less with just that spring. Maybe just about right now for a carry pistol. But I will probably install the other two springs eventually. Very quick shipping and good pricing!
I put an Mcarbo spring kit in both my Taurus G3 and a friends.I measured the trigger break before the kit install and after. The kit did smooth up the pull along with polishing the recommended parts but the pull on both guns were only reduced about 1/2 to 1 lb leaving both triggers still in the low 5 lb to upper 4 lb range.
easy to install except if you have somewhat arthritic hands the sear spring is a bugger, polishing the areas as suggested in the video adds about five minutes of time, but worth it for the smoothness of the pull. Would I buy it again, actually buying it again for the second gun.
Put this in my G2 PT111 today. What a difference! So much better than stock. Triggers is so smooth now and definitely lighter pull. The video makes installation fool proof. Took me about an hour but, I took my time and double checked everything. Well worth the time and money. I will be buying from mcarbo again. I did buy the polish kit and the spring tool and the block. All were very reasonably priced.
I just installed the trigger spring kit on my G3 and it went great. The video made the job a snap and the result was amazing.
i love the feel of the trigger after installing this kit. but i can't seem to get through a 12 round magazine without 2-4 light strikes. for a compact carry that should be reliable, this spring simply isn't, i never had a single light string with the stock spring. 5 star for trigger feel 1 star for firing pin spring.
I have many customers who love their G2 pistols, except for the trigger. This kit provides a smoother, more manageable trigger pull at a very reasonable cost. This is an easy add-on for any G2 that comes in for any type of work, and makes for very happy shooters.
Definitely order the tools or if you already have them. The installation video is must. M*Carbo hit the mark on this. Hope you make a compensator for the Taurus.
As we all know, the cheap G3c pistol is in dire need of improvement in many ways. To start, I initially purchased a recoil system, steel striker assembly, and a set of TruGlo fiber optic sights. The striker assy. did not resolve my 100% light strike issues, as with the original factory plastic striker unit. I emailed M*Carbo twice inquiring if the spring included in the trigger kit was as the factory spring pull rating of 14 lbs-no replies. Finally a reply stating the tech would advise me soon-never happened. I purchased the trigger kit based on my prior usage of 4 other kits for different pistols; disassembled entire pistol, polished all moving internal components and installed all 3 springs. The striker spring is 100% light strike, as the others. I purchased select striker springs for Glock models 1-4, 15lb, 15 1/2lb, and 16lb pull weights. I used a case with fresh primer to check for fire function to find that the 15 1/2lb spring is a must for my pistol. I understand Taurus has sloppy tolerances, so this may vary from pistol to pistol. The other 2 springs and polishing did make a noticable difference, eliminating the spongy pull feel of the trigger, but a lot sacrificed due to use of the heavier striker spring. I will install an aftermarket trigger that eliminates the safety bar and shortens travel, for a hopeful satisfaction of comfort firing this pistol. Compared to all of my other kit purchases and service from M*Carbo; I was very disappointed that they failed a simple email to inform me of the spring rate.
