Great product. Well made and solved problem of dragging firing pin. Once installed and tested, upgraded my other P365's. Makes cleaning a lot easier without damaging plastic pieces that come from the factory.
Just wanted to say that his striker in combination with the m carbo trigger and the spring kit turnes the P365 X Macro into a dream machine. What a great way to drastically improve the trigger! Well worth the wait! Tremendous product!
This seems to be an improvement over the factory parts. Easy to install, though a third hand would make it easier. The captive spring on the plunger ensures you only need to look for one part on the floor rather than two. I've done the install on my original P265 and on my XL. I'll be ordering an additional unit for my X-Macro when it's available.
This is a well made item and will be much better for long term durability and reliability than Sig's OEM plastic piece. I think anyone wants their gun to remain trouble free install this replacement part.
This is a game changer for your Sig slides. Lighter weight. Lighter trigger pull. Easy to clean. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this. 🔥🔥🔥
This titanium striker has really been the best internal upgrade by far. The fact that the plastic housing is now eliminated and the spring is lighter along with all the machined aspects truely has transformed this pistol. The drag and grit is gone replaced by responsive feedback. I used it on 124gr CCI Blazer fmj, Sig V-Crown 124gr, MagTech 115gr and Federal HST +P 124, all with no issues at all. My particular 365 has many aftermarket parts but the fire-control system is stock Sig save for MCarbo's sprink kit. Now it sports under 4.4 pounds total pull with the included 3 pound main spring yet it feels so much lighter while still being safe. Note that the trigger spring kit has a 4lbs spring for the striker, which yeilded 5.5lbs trigger pull at peak, barely more if any want nearly the same feel. Very very pleased with this striker. No light hits at all, just seemless, fast and clean. Feels like a $1,000 pistol.
I ordered the titanium striker and end plate kit for my sig P365 XL. The item was backordered and it took about six weeks to get it. I watched their on site video several times when the item arrived it was a cinch to put in. This is a really nice upgrade to the factory striker and plastic sleeve. Headed right to the range after install and test fired. Not a single malfunction out of sixty rounds. I have a lot more confidence in the firearm now.
I keep my review short. I just want to say that I love how smooth this striker operates and how little vibration is created. But most of all I want to thank Jacob and Waldo and everyone at MCarbo for such excellent customer service and getting this product out to me as soon as possible. They went above and beyond which is what I’ve come to expect from everyone at MCarbo
Nice trigger feel after installing this 10 of 10 I love it !
This is a good upgrade as you get two improvements. The striker sleeve and back plate which makes it 10 times easier to take the gun apart. You don't have to mangle the plastic sleeve to get it apart. And the second improvement is the titanium striker actually makes my MCarbo flat trigger feel even better which I thought would have been impossible.
I got three assemblies, installed two with no problem. then with the third I discovered that the slide did not have the cutout where the striker cap retaining plunger fits. Contacted sig and was told that about 1 in 20 of the Sig slides do not have the cutout. I contacted M Carbo and Jacob said that their striker unit would not work with a slide without the cut and they would send a preaid shipping label so I could get a refund, I plan on seeing if my gunsmith/machinist can make a cutout. M Carbo needs to put a disclaimer in their product description to have potential customers to examine their slide before ordering, or offer a service to modify the slide for the striker assembly.
I did not have a good feeling for the striker assembly provided by SIG. I found it difficult to re-install after cleaning, and I did not have confidence that the plastic components would hold up to much use. MCarbo has an excellent video on this product. I don't think the installation took even five minutes. I haven't had a chance to go to the range yet, so I cannot comment on the performance in use.
I cannot attest about the original MIM striker vs Titanium striker considering that I built my own p365XL from a FCU to cut down on parts accumulation. Nonetheless functions and fits perfectly. Trigger pull is about 3.2-3.4lbs. I was considering the MCARBO trigger however I’m running a manual safety and preferred a pretravel function over postravel to be as close to wall as possible. Without a manual safety I believe the MCARBO trigger would have been safest and optimal option. Extended mag is amazing and looks the part with the Icarus lower. - Orlando FL
I finally got a chance to send some freedom seeds down the range last weekend and am suitably impressed with the striker assembly. Installation was straightforward and easy to accomplish, and the build quality and workmanship is outstanding throughout. I was shooting 124g Blazer Brass for the range session and ran probably close to 150 rounds through my P365 XL (with Harrington Arms Comp installed), and the M*Carbo striker assembly ran flawlessly. I did notice a slight lightening of the trigger pull, but not an obvious improvement over the stock P365 XL Spectre Comp I was comparing it against. The all-metal (titanium and steel) construction of this assembly is what sets it apart from the SIG OEM one. Obviously, the M*Carbo is built to last a long time. Is it worth the $200 price tag? I'll have to leave that up to the you. If you're looking for obvious increased/noticeable performance, you won't, at least I didn't, find it with this assembly and is over-priced, if that is your primary reason. But, if you're looking for a quality-built assemblage that will obviously out-last the stock, then this is the right upgrade for you.
This is quite the upgrade from the plastic POS that Sig provides! Excellent fit and function!!!
I was a little skeptical that the cost would justify the performance advantage over stock but I was so wrong. Besides the obvious advantage of being made from titanium, when coupled with the short stroke trigger the pull and reset are noticeably crisper. I am comparing this side by side to the same gun with just the trigger upgrade and the difference in tactile feel is night and day. Will be ordering one for my P365 that just has the short stroke trigger as soon as they come back in stock. Two thumbs up M Carbo.
