The kit offers three options for trigger return springs, allowing you to tailor the level of trigger pull reduction and drop test ratings:
- 1.5lb or 2.5lb Trigger Return Spring: Ideal for benchrest shooting, these springs provide the maximum trigger pull reduction. Note that they have limited drop test rating (3", 6", and 9" only).

Axis pro kit needs updated
Have bought several m CARBO products and have been pleased bought 3 different kits for guns in one order and the axis pro kit the over travel screw will not work in the newer axis rifles tried installing and the hole for over travel screw is no longer threaded so the kit is therefore useless I bought and cannot be installed great products this just needs revised for changes
Shorted parts - lack of customer service
Placed an order for the spring trigger kit and paid extra to expedite order. Went to install the kit and was missing the over travel screw. Emailed customer service with no reply. Called on the phone got no answer. Called the following day and talked to someone. Was promised to have the part Friday. Called the following Monday left a phone message and still no reply and no part . My first order here and got zero service. Was hoping to avoid leaving a bad review but all I get is crickets via email or phone.

I used the 2.5lb spring and the shims for the trigger. Worth every penny to for this kit. Don't hesitate and buy one now if you are thinking about it.
Axis Pro Spring Kit doesn't work on new Axis 1
The new Axis rifles (as of October 2024 at least) do not have a threaded hole for the overtravel screw provided in the pro kit. The new stock Axis 1 return spring has an elongated end that fits in the hole to stabilize the spring. See the attached picture of the new Axis return spring.
The pro kit needs the threaded overtravel screw to stabilize the pro kit's return springs. I tried to thread the hole in the trigger with a 10-48 tap and it broke in the hole. Time for a new accutrigger assembly.

The kit came in a timely fashion. All the parts were there and it was a quick simple swap out. I just got the my savage axis II and it appears they’ve updated a few things since the instillation video was made, like the trigger guard, but it was still a straightforward install. I got a Savage Axis (Not II or Accutrigger ) in 400 Legend. I went to install this Trigger kit and was going fine till I went to add the Overtravel Screw and ran into a issue. The hole to Install is not threaded! Not sure if factory changed or this is some escape but spring just sits in hole under tension. Can you provide the specs on the overtravel screw? Does not match anything in my SAE and Metric Tap & Dies set(limited). It would give me idea on proper tap or approx size to get another set screw.
Don't try to tap it. I did and the trigger broke at the hole. Crickets from Mcarbo. They won't contact me back.

I have an axis xp .350 legend. I don't believe it's the axis II. Will this trigger kit work with my gun?
Yes will work on any savage axis in any caliber. But not the Axis 11

I have both an Axis and an Axis II. The Axis II has a silver part on the trigger and is adjustable once you take the stock off and look. The Axis only has the single peice trigger and is noticably different. I added this kit to my Axis and it has the same adjustments and performance as my Axis II with the accutrigger. It doesn't add the peice to the trigger itself, it changes the mechanics of the trigger inside.

I recently watched a video with this kit installed on an AccuTrigger and was wondering why you guys say that it will only work with the Standard Triggers? Is that true or not?
The trigger return springs in our kit can be lighter than some of the AccuTrigger's trigger safety springs out there, so if you install our springs and your rifle has an AccuTrigger, there is a chance that when you go to pull the trigger, the trigger will fire before the safety blade is pulled all the way down and the trigger will lock up because the safety blade wasn't depressed all the way down. Our 3.5 lb spring is the only spring that will work with the Accutriggers but for safety reasons we state that you shouldn't install our spring kit if your rifle has an AccuTrigger.
Will this kit work in a model 111 pre-accutrigger? (circa 2001-2002)?

When yall install the stock back on the action. What do you torque the actions screws to or will it have an affect on accuracy?
It depends on what stock you have. If you have a Savage factory stock just Google savage stock torque specs and you will see a Savage FAQ page with the specs listed.
The video I watch to install for the Axis shows a travel screw with a head on it the kit shows something different. It also has shims and grease that is not mentioned in the video.

The installation video was made on Jan 26, 2018, about five years ago. We have made different upgrades to the kits, but the installation is the same.
In the video here, you can see at about 0:40 in the footage that the kit has grease and shims.
I just bought the savage axis compact .243 win. For my wife. I would like to know if this trigger kit would be compatible?
It fits Savage AXIS Rifles with Standard Triggers only. Will not work for Savage AXIS Rifles with AccuTrigger

I believe there are some minor differences in tolerances. But we have not been able to get our hands on an Edge to test it out.

Hmmm, why won't this kit work on an accutrigger ? The fitting looks the same and even though there is something wrong with my accutrigger spring ( won't be set any lower than the factory 3 lbs setting ), SA won't provide a spare part to my place, so I'm ready to give it a go in case there's any chance it might work ( better than cutting off a coil, ain't it ? ) ...
Apparently this kit will work with the Accutrigger. I just watched a video where it was installed on a Savage axis II. The kit performed perfectly with a pull weight around 12.5 oz.
The kit was specifically designed to replace the Standard Trigger springs. We made the Flat Trigger to replace the AccuTrigger.

Will this work for Savage Model 111?
Based on what I just discovered when trying to install this kit into my 111, NO, this will not work in a Model 111 if it a s 3 bolt rifle. The 111 three bolt has a lever style adjustable trigger.

I have the savage axis xp and it looks a bit different than your install video. The thumbs safety is on top of the assembly when removed and trigger doesn't seem to have the slop requiring the washers. Do you have an install video for this type of rifle?
I have a savage axis xp newer version it works find. The shims may not be require depending on the tolerance it had from the factory. Its a good thing you don't need the shims. I could have purchase the kit without them and still been happy.
Hello Ryan, unfortunately, we do not have an installation video for the Savage Axis XP. If you do not feel the washers are a necessary component for your XP, you may leave those out of the firearm.
