I recently purchased the recoiless charging handle to install on my recently purchased Sub 2000. The only part of the install that Chris tells you about in the install video that’s takes some time is capturing the locking mechanism in the guide rod spring, I definitely would recommend getting armors block they sell and making the adjustment to fit the guide rod spring, I did it without and I almost gave up, but once it’s in it works exactly as described. Can’t wait to try it at the range.
I just finished installing the rear folding notch sight for the sub 2000. The installation was easy and quick. The videos were very helpful guides to the process. I took my 9mm sub 2000 to my local range and was amazed at how much easier it was to acquire a sight picture with the taller rear sight. It was easy to shoot tighter groups and not have to struggle with the OEM sight picture. I've made several of the internal upgrades offered through M-Carbo and this was the best one for improving the usefulness of the weapon. Thanks!
Well made part and installation is very easy by following the detailed installation video. The result is a big improvement in function and comfort when shooting.
Tactical folding rear sight is a must! Installation is simple - but the best part is MCARBO's installation videos. Install in the same order of steps as seen in the video for the best result. Cheek weld is much better with this sight - choose peep or notch based on preference. Adding this sight is a must for its fold-down feature to allow for the option of adding optics
I installed the notch sight in less than 30 minutes. Works great! Helps me find my target much faster. And, eliminates the neck strain from the “shorter” factory site. Amazing!!
This is my fist upgrade for the Sub2000. I love the portability of the Sub2000 but it was uncomfortable shooting it. These sights are a big improvement over the stock rear sight. These sight allow for a more natural head position while still allowing for a good sight picture. The tolerances are held tight for a solid fit. The fit and finish of the product is excellent. Also the MCARBO customer service is second to none.
Much better view of front sight and faster acquisition of target, even with my aging eyes.
My biggest gripe with my Sub-2000 was the rear peep sight. I could never comfortably sight with it. the M-Carbo rear sight is just what I needed. I haven't been able to get to the range with it yet but I've loosely sighted it in with a sight bore and confirmed it's closeness with the G-Sight laser cartridge which has me shooting 2" groups from across the house.
I literally HATED the OEM tiny peep sight. I found it too me longer to focus on the tiny peep than the target. So I ordered the open top notch folding sight. It is slightly taller than the original peep, but could even be taller for my cheek . I did buy the optic mount which makes EVERYthing better, but the notch was my preference for my non-optic option. I just like the notch over the peep, just my personal preference. Great upgrade and easy install, just follow the instructions on the video.
I say this folding rear sight is an absolute must-have for Sub2000 owners. I'm planning to install the MCARBO folding optic mount and red dot in the near future. Therefore I want the ability to fold the rear sight out of the way. An equal benefit to this upgrade is the larger peep hole and higher line of sight. I am going to the range later this morning to try it out. I'm expecting a much better sight picture and shooting posture. The weekend I took my Sub2000 to the range and the place was packed. People were shooting handguns and ARs. My Sub2000 was quite the attention getter. Several people came up and asked me what it was. I've ordered 4 items now from MCARBO in 2 shipments. Both orders were acknowledged with email. Shipping and tracking notification was very fast and products arrived well packaged. The YT installation videos are fantastic.
While the quality and ease of installation was greatly appreciated, the additional height of the peep sight was welcomed by my cheek.
Easy to install (took under 3 min) and actually makes the iron sights useful. Kel Tec should just put these on from the factory.
Installation is super easy. It stays out of the way and lets me use my red dot optic. When my battery dies, optic comes off and sight flips up. The best of both worlds.
Hate the stock one. The notch MCARBO makes fast point and shoot possible. With all MCARBO products, they provide excellent video instructions for installation. Now I don’t have to crush my face into the gun.
I followed the video exactly and it works perfect. I would have given it five stars except that the only thing I can say is that it would be nice if M-Carbo put in a 2 1/2 mm Allen wrench because I looked through all of mine that I have in my toolbox and didn’t have it. They also could’ve thrown in a very small tube of Loctite and a mini tube of lube which they recommend you use as well. I had to wait until the next day to drive to ACE hardware to get this things. If they bought these in bulk, it would really only cost them a couple of dollars extra to include this in with the sight and at $65, it looks like they have plenty of margin on that item to spend two dollars! It’s a very comfortable and nice improvement from the stock rear sight on my sub 2000
I recently purchased the aluminum rear sight with the bigger peep hole, it is so much better than the factory sight and was easy to install . I would not recommend installing yourself if you are Democrat, it would be to hard.
