Sight came as described, and I watched install video twice. Despite trepidation on my part, all went well. Its on, its indexed, and rifle folds properly. Raised sight will save an old man's cheekbone. Thanks.
The rear sight assembly came with no instructions but was easy enough to figure out. It does fold down but aside from being a little taller than the stock rear sight, there is marginal difference. Minus one star for slow shipping.
Excellent addition to my Sub 2000. I now awaiting the red dot adapter sight mount that hopefully the order was received by the company.
I would in stall that rear sight the on e that comes with rifle is too low to be comfortable.
I just installed the MCARBO rear peep site on my sub 2000. It is a dramatic improvement over the original sight. This is slightly taller than the original sight, allowing me to quickly obtain a proper cheek weld and sight picture, which I struggled with using the original sight. I use it along with the MCARBO optic mount and a Vortex Sparc II red dot. Using the short riser on the optic, it co-witnesses perfectly with the fixed sights. Excellent upgrade to my sub 2000.

Received this sight in a timely manner. Mcarbo sent it pronto. When I installed it, the sight would not clear the handguard opening. I had to remove about 1/16" of the handguard opening material for it to barely clear. This was done without removing the handguard. I loctighted the screws with 242, set the tension and let it set 24 hrs. When I checked it the next day, the sight cleared, opened and closed right, all looked good. Then I noticed the lockup was very loose. ??this is a new gun and was no wiggle at all before this sight change. I mic'ed the original thru shaft and the sight shaft...Not that, the diameters were identical. when I checked the length, obvious the Mcarbo shaft was way short. It only came thru half the right side receiver material when squeezed. I dropped a machine screw lock washer in the cavity and replaced the thick plastic washer with the original steel one and locked it down. Perfect fit and about 1/2 of the slop was taken out of the lockup. I am happy with the sight now that it works, but I need a barrel nut wrench now to finish correcting the lockup. You should offer this as the kind people at Kel tec locktighted the nut and I can't move it. If I didn't have a stigmatism, I would switch it back. but alas, the original sight will do me no good at all.
I didn't know any of these upgrades existed until I surfed your website. Earlier that day I used my Keltec Sub2000 at the range, and was very pleased was the accuracy of my shots. This rifle looks "different" than most, but I feel it doesn't receive the notoriety it deserves. I had one problem while shooting that day. My peepsight was so small, I had to "squint" my eye for 1/2 hr. My shots were so accurate, I pushed the eyestrain aside. Later that evening, I noticed that one your companies accessories was a larger peep sight to make sight alignment and focus easier. I ordered it and had it installed( your videos are excellent, but I lacked self-confidence). When returned to the range, I couldn't believe the difference using the new sight. It made shooting so much easier. Since then I have purchased 4 more accessories. Thank for your professionalism,care and prompt,informative responses. It is greatly appreciated.
My rear site is much improved and this is a worthy upgrade.
Metal sight works great easy to install and larger peep hole makes for better follow up shots
I bought the notched rear sight and its great , quick getting on the target . Works great.
I have installed all upgrades for my Sub 2K except the Rear Sight. That's because a Red Dot was on the Sub. I wasn't sure if that new sight was worth it. Then I decide to go all the way and put it on. Yes, Sir it does make a deference; better view and easy on the neck. It was a good buy. Thanks again M*Carbo for a great product.
I bought a rear tactical folding peep sight for my Sub 2000 because it was supposed to be .060” taller than the stock sight. It changed the whole feel of the gun for me. I can now get my cheek and eye low enough to align the front sight. It makes the gun usable with iron sights.
Excellent upgrade. I bought the peep version because I wanted to replicate the OEM sight but I can see an advantage with the notch version too. However, the M*Carbo peep gives much quicker front sight and target acquisition & folding it out of the way for use of the red dot is a definite improvement. However, it can be used with a red dot without folding it down because the aperture is large enough not to interfere with the sight picture. It takes some experimentation to get the right tension on the retaining screw so that you get a proper balance between ease of operation & so it will remain upright when unfolding the Sub 2000.
Excellent product, very easy to install. Installation took 5 minutes.
