A must have item if you want to take shooting seriously with a kel tec sub 2k. Makes looking down the sights much easier and helps alleviate the need to smash my jaw against the buffer tube. Shipped quickly despite covid and feels solid. Fast install and there are even videos by mcarbo on youtube to help with the installation process in case you have issues.
If you intend on having a foolproof aiming system, or as a backup for your optics/red dots, then these American made, high quality, and value added sights are a must have upgrade. In addition, the added height makes it easier for a more natural aiming position.
One of my favorite parts bought from M*CARBO!! I went with the peep sight and am very happy with the results post install. I actually did not have to readjust my sights, everything was dead on at about 25 yards.
I was having a hard time wrapping my face around the stock of my Sub in order to get a good sight picture...and forget about getting a consistent check weld. I snagged one of MCarbo's taller sights (peep) and my issues have been instantly resolved. I can now shoulder this in a more natural position and it makes the Sub a joy to shoot. If you have a Sub2k, this should be one of yours first upgrades...a bit expensive for what it is, but well worth it.
I have a 40 S&W Keltec Sub 2000 (Sub 2K) and the factory peep sight at an aperture of 3/32” is unsatisfactory, unrealistic and truly a worthless part of the whole system. Luckily, MCARBO has the perfect solution, the Alumnium rear peep sight. Installation with the video is straightforward. I used Blue Loktite to secure the set screw and the other side screw. The item is solid and smooth in operation. The large tab to raise or lower the sight is a great design feature. The best part is the much wider aperture making a more realistic shooting position in relation to the bolt tube. I was resistant to many upgrades but this one is essential. It makes shooting this Carbine more efficient, more comfortable, and more easily. I highly recommend this product.
Couldn’t love the larger peep sight more. It’s honestly a must have upgrade! Installing it was a breeze as well!
If you're a bit OG like me and prefer to run open sights, this is a must have upgrade. I had previously ordered a recoil buffer tube cover (which was greatly needed) only to discover that the thickness of the cover, combined with the shape of my face, made it almost impossible to make use of the factory rear sight. It was a no brainer to just replace the rear sight with an aluminum one from MCARBO. This sight is a little bit higher than the original, making it the perfect height with the tube cover. Installing it was a breeze thanks to the great videos put out by these guys! Don't hesitate to buy anything from MCARBO...they will NOT leave you behind! Their followup and support has been absolutely solid!
Ordered after-market rear sight (peep) and installed per instruction video. Easy add that brought home the fact that you do not want to be disassembling/assembling the sub 2K unnecessarily. The sight works as advertised, creating a better cheek weld that does not approximate hugging a tiny teddy bear. I have no problem (operationally, or philosophically) with the larger aperture dimensions. The human eye naturally wants to ‘center’ the post in the sight radius...and the larger aperture is appropriate for the sub 2K’s role. The workmanship on the sight is better than it needs to be, considering, and while I have not verified this — it might be able to double as an M2 timing tool. I am well-satisfied with this purchase. —-‘Strike Hard! Strike Fast! Resolute!’
That was so easy to install. It gives the feeling of sighting the pistol. I will be adding high visibility paint to help with alignment. I have lousy vision( wear trifocals).
I went with the notch sight and really like the view and ability to quickly pickup the front sight. I am however, questioning the amount of use I will get from it. I really like and prefer the MCarbo mount and red dot. I might suggest doing that and drilling the peep hole bigger in the stock plastic sight if it wont be used that much.
This sight is amazing! The shot picture is clear. Now I can fire and and my hearing protection not get pushed off my head while shooting. 1st time shooters using the sight were very impressed.
The peep sight definitely looks and feels better than the factory one. It’s a little bit taller so I can get a better sight picture and I like that I can fold it down for when I use a Red dot.
Elegant simplicity and function. Well designed/manufactured, takes mere moments to install. Mandatory upgrade from the "meh" factory peep.
Followed the video for installation. Even changed the handle to the right side of the gun because I am left handed. Easy as pie.

Nice to be able to move out the way when using an optic! If your optic quit working or you just want to go old school and not use the optic you have the option to use the rear site without having to fold the rifle.
