Stock trigger pull consistently came in over 5lb. I followed the video instructions (not as easy as it is made to look, but anyone who can follow instructions can do this, no gunsmithing genius required. My results, a consistent 2lb 5 1/2oz, give or take, with occasional pulls under 2lb. The difference between a usable field gun and one that isn't!

With the original trigger pull between 6.5 and 7 lbs, I figured the M-Carbo kit would improve this old Winchester 70 in .270! Indeed, I followed the easy, detailed video. And I did a little polishing of some parts with some Flitz (my preferred buffing polish as I rebuild old vintage motorcycles on the side). I dropped the pull to approximately 2.3 lbs and she’s right at MOA. In a word: Schweeeet!!!
As advertised, made a huge difference in the trigger pull and the gun shot better. Nice, easy, economical fix. Highly recommend
I built a custom on a pre war model 70, great action but the trigger left a lot to be desired with not a lot of options I was about to purchase an expensive after market trigger with marginal reviews when I found this spring so I figured why not give it a try. It works great I will purchase this for every one of my model 70’s. It’s a must have.

Purchased the kit for the Post 2008 Winchester Model 70 which was the 3rd MCarbo spring kit I had ordered for various rifles. The two previous kits for the Browning Abot II and AB3 both greatly improved trigger pull by 40 to 50% reduction so I was excited to add this kit to my Winchester M70. Unfortunately this kit took my factory 4 lb average pull down to only 3.75 lb on average and if I try to adjust it lower by screwing out the adjustment screw the rifle becomes unsafe and fires on closing the bolt. With the factory spring I could take it all of the way out without the trigger pull changing and the rifle never was unsafe.
I'm not a gunsmith, but this upgrade trigger kit is an easy one which will reduce the trigger pull greatly. It just makes sense to improve the performance for better, quicker, and more accurate shot placement.

Reduced the trigger pull by a lot. The trigger is now crisp and quick. Easy to follow the youtube video and only cost $20 to improve my old rifle.
I was so skeptical about how a spring could completely fix my atrocious trigger pull! This spring absolutely delivers I swear guys my trigger was atleast 8lbs and it’s down to a smooth and crisp 2lb pull I couldn’t be happier with this! Best money I’ve ever spent on a gun part!
Took about 45 minutes start to finish, including full weapon cleaning. Easy install (watch YouTube video). Went from 5lbs 1oz to 2lbs 4oz. I personally believe that is adequate for a hunting rifle. Took it out to range and found that one inch group shrunk by .2”. Not quite 3/4”, but, Dang! Already had faith in this rifle, but now I know, CANT BLAME THE RIFLE, if I miss. LOL. I’ve had a hard time sighting in my Winchester 70 in 270. Finally I checked the trigger pull and it was just over 5lbs. I checked the Mcarbo site to see if they had a trigger spring for it. I put one of there springs in my FN 509 and was very happy. So I found the spring for the rifle and when I put it in my pull went from just over 5lbs to 1.75 lbs. I have not been able to shoot it yet but can’t wait.
Am so glad I ordered this, vs. a much more expensive trigger replacement kit! MCARBO has a great video on how to install in Win. Model 70 . . followed it explicitly & no problems, even for a beginner like me! Lowered my trigger pull to 1.5 lb. (Lyman meter) & I was able to really eliminate any over-travel. Have not shot it yet, but can already tell how much better it feels, & am expecting great results! Highly recommend this product, & this company!!
