Easy install. Great videos. Lighter trigger and crisp. Highly recommend.
Installed in my 1972 Winchester Model 70 - 264 Win Mag. Followed along with the video. Had almost the exact same results with my trigger pull scale as the video. Shipping was fast. Works great.
M*Carbo is GTG. Installed on my FN PBR XP 300 WSM. LOL, picked a great time to lose my trigger gauge, but I would say she is in the neighborhood of 2.5 pounds or less.
Dakota 76 in 22-250 had a very hard trigger...'hard' is the word I would use.....and since that action is a modified Winchester 70 action, I thought it might work....trigger now at 2.25 lbs.....I did not measure before installation...my bad.
If you have a pre 2008 model 70 this is a must buy. #1 easy fix, #2 cheap, #3 makes a huge difference. So simple to do take about 5 minutes. So much smoother and alot lighter of a pull. MUSY BUY!!
Model 70 had a terrible 7-8 lb pull. Could only get it down to 5.5 lbs before it would start failing drop test @ 12 inches so figured $15 was worth a shot. This spring, unfortunately, did not bring the trigger pull under 3 lbs as advertised, but it did bring the pull to a very consistent 3.6 lbs. Adequate for a hunting rifle. Passed Drop Test @ 12 inches on the buttstock.
If you own a model 70 this is a must have very easy to change out if you watch the video took about 10 minutes and the results are unbelievable took a 5.4 average pull to a clean 1.9 fast shipping to boot what’s not to like. Thank you for a great product and thank you for your service to our country!!!
So I didn't think getting the Winchester model 70 spring kit would make that big of a difference. Holy cow was I wrong! I can breathe on this thing and the trigger pulls I love it! I even forgot to get the 2nd part to it! The shipping is incredible as always. When you're excited about getting something, it really sucks having to wait for several weeks, im pretty sure mine came in like 4 days. So awesome, as usual. Thanks again mcarbo!
Let me start by saying I am a competitive shooter and have used virtually every trigger on the market. I typically set my triggers at a little under 1LB. My ‘79 model 70 factory trigger came in at 3LB 16oz. This little spring dropped it to 1.5 LBs. This is a no brainer for a model 70 Winchester.
Just installed Mcarbo trigger springs for post model 70 wsm270. Excellent video for the novice. It took me just over 1.5hrs to install. It was challenging but doable. I haven't tested pull post install need to get scale to test. But I can tell a difference from orginal. Feels good but wish it was slightly lighter and more crisp but I'm being picky... cant wait until I get to range. Overall im pleased. Hope to give 5 stars if I can get close 3lbs pull.
My 1957 Winchester Model 70 .243 Standard had a 5# pull. I got this kit, and it was stupid easy to install. Just make sure you have a brass punch so as not to mess up your action. The instructional video was first rate, and gave me all the info I needed to get it done correctly and easily. It now breaks at ~ 2#s and smooth as silk since I took out all the travel thanks to the installation video on this site. I can't recommend this enough.
