1997 Winchester .375 H&H stainless classic. $40. project. $20 for spring kit. $20. for wheeler trigger pull scale. Factory trigger measured at 6.5 lbs. After 15 minute install with overtravel adjustment the pull was just under 3lb. I truly consider this luck and is why I did not rate at five stars. Five star supermodels do not exist.

This trigger spring was as advertised, my Winchester 70 had a 9 pound trigger pull. Installed the trigger spring just like the video demonstrated, now I have a 2 1/4 pound trigger pull. The trigger is crisp and consistent.

M-Carbo is one of the best companies you will find out there these days!

I bought my father's gun back after selling it 18 years ago and first time at the range I knew the trigger was stiff!

Buddy told me about mcarbo so I ordered one.

Shipping was quick and I got it today!

Took out the old trigger spring and lock nuts that had the trigger weight sitting around 6.5#...

Mcarbo spring it is now at 2.75#!!!

Got another Winchester model 70. This one came with a good trigger out of the box at about 3.5lbs... BUT, I demand the best trigger possible on my forearms. So I put this in and it went to 2.5lbs... I haven't even adjusted the trigger weight screw yet.

My other review discusses the supergrade I put this kit in... that got me 2lbs in that one.

A Great Improvement

Assuming you have the right punch, the install is cake. Trigger pull goes from pulling a brick to perfectly reasonable. A simple job that makes a noticeable improvement. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely the best

I don't have a trigger pull scale, so can't give exact numbers.

I was bitching about the horrendous trigger pull when checking my zero at 300 yd. I was all set to order a timney trigger when I came across your web site. I figured what the heck, for under 20 bucks I'll try it.

Received the spring in a couple of days and installed it. The video was a great help.

I can't believe the difference. Cut the trigger pull tension in half! No bull.

Excellent product, will purchase more for our other Model 70's.

Thanks,

Mike

I've always had a gunsmith hone the sear and work over my pre-64 model

70's, which usually isn't cheap. After discovering this spring kit I ordered two and just got done installing one on my 1950 .270 Winchester. All I can say is amazing and quite simple to do after watching the M*Carbo video and much cheaper than paying for a gunsmith's time. My 1949 270 gets the same treatment tomorrow...I can't wait to get them to the range. Thanks for a great product.

Amazing !

I have wanted to improve the trigger on my model 70 for years, but was always told it had to be done by a gunsmith and was costly. The price of an after market trigger and the added cost of a gunsmith installation always scared me off.

I am so glad I waited now, because for $12 I have made that trigger AMAZING!!! Wow is all I can say!!!

Your video tutorials are awesome too!!!

Thank You

This spring took my 5.5 pound to 2.5 pounds on my early 90s Model 70 Stainless Classic. The instructional video was clear and the result was perfect right down to the over travel. The trigger is smooth and crisp with a clean break at the wal. Don't try and mess with the factory "adjustment" get this spring!
