This spring is far superior to the factory one. I installed it in minutes. Other than good glass, I can’t think of a better upgrade for a M70.

Awesome update

This spring made a world of difference in my model 70a that my parents gave to me when I was 16.

Very simple to install great directions and video.

Thank you

Beats a Timney!

Bought this spring instead of a Timney figuring I’d only be out a few bucks if I didn’t like it. Well, I like it!

Installation from start to finish took less then 15minutes start to finish on my 1947 .270 WCF and my trigger pull dropped to 3.1 pounds.

Best upgrade for the money you can do.

Installed the Winchester model 70 trigger spring, and what a difference it made. The stock trigger pull was creepy and differed in pull weight throughout the travel. Now it so much more crisp, consistent and light it feels like a gunsmith worked the trigger. Night and day difference. The installation video made the swap quick and easy. Nice to see a company provide that kind of support to it’s customers. Will be purchasing more for my other guns.

Better than before but not great

The spring kit did in fact reduce the trigger pull which is a help but was hoping for more of a reduction. Installed easy, no issues and was of good quality. Maybe I was hoping for too much. It's a better hunting pull weight than a target weight.

Big improvement

I have had this rifle since 1992 and have taken a lot of deer with it. I previously purchased the hammer and trigger spring kit for a Ruger SP101 and it gave outstanding results. I have a Cooper Firearm in .243 that has an outstanding trigger on it. After installing the new spring and polishing the sear in the Winchester it easily rivals the Cooper. I am impressed and cannot wait to shoot it. I do not have a trigger scale but this thing is light. You better not apply any pressure to the trigger until you are ready for a bang. Same thing with my Cooper. The install took about 30 minutes but I took my time. Nice job MCarbo. Now I am looking at the Mosin upgrade.

Big Improvement

I have a Winchester Model 670 in .243 that had the factory trigger setup. I was ordering a spring kit for my S&W M&P Shield .40 so I ordered this spring at the same time, I cleaned up the trigger mating surfaces with a hard Arkansas stone. (just enough to remove the rough surfaces) After installing the spring per the video instructions the trigger pull is MUCH improved. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but the reduction is very noticable, probably about half of what it was. I was able to adjust overtravel from the factory 1/8" (approx) to just a hair over nothing. What a great improvent to my rifle!!

The delivery time was fast, communication on my order was stellar (with even a follow up e-mail to make sure all was good) Very glad I found M-Carbo!!

Big Improvement to Stock M70

My Model 70 Featherweight started out just over 5 lbs pull 'weight,' and adjusting preload was really finicky. With the new spring and reconfigured adjustment nuts, having the creep adjusted at the edge where the sear will consistently reset, I ended up with between 3 and 3.5 lbs. This is much better, and about what I want in a hunting rifle. Having said that, in the original design, preload and creep are individually adjustable, in the modified configuration, you set creep and find out what preload you ended up with. If all of these springs are perfectly identical in length and tension (nothing is perfect), the tolerance stack up in stock trigger parts is going to drive variability in the trigger pull 'weight.' So I got lucky, your mileage may vary.

My Winchester Model 70 had a trigger pull of exactly 5lbs prior to installing the new trigger spring. The install video was spot on, simple, and the result was a trigger pull a little over 3lbs. Don't hesitate, buy two for the next Model 70 you buy!

This spring smooths out the stock spring ( stock spring probably came off a 78' Ford) and is definitely worth buying. Clean and smooth pull now.

Decent spring, great company

I installed the model 70 spring per the video and was only able to get the pull reduced from 5.5# down to 4#. M-Carbo customer service made some suggestions to get it to work better, but without success. They immediately offered me a refund. This is great company with which to do business! I will use them again.

Didn't do much

I had my 2012 Winchester Model 70 Super Grade's trigger pull tuned-down to about 3.5 lbs using the manufacturer's instructions. Hoping to get it lower, I ordered and installed this M*Carbo spring replacement kit. I installed it according to the excellent YouTube video that M*Carbo published.

Sadly, the new spring kit only lowered the trigger pull to around 3.25-3.4 lbs.

Easy install

If you watch the m-carbo install video than it makes it a breeze to install. I checked the original trigger pull and it was 5.14 lbs when I was finished with the install it was 2.4 lbs worked Great
