Purchased a reduced pull weight trigger spring for my Winchester Model 70 and was easy as pie to install and has reduced my trigger pull to a perfect crisp pull but light enough to stay on target and tighten up my grouping. MCARBO has excellent instructions on YouTube as well as printable ones to make it a question free fix that can be performed with a few household tools. Definitely will purchase a second spring for my other model 70 now that i see the results. Happy Shooting !
Have to admit I was skeptical and thought I was paying too much for a spring. Well, I was wrong. The trigger improvement on that Model 70 is outstanding. MCARBO provided an incredible value when you consider the performance gain. Overall, I am very satisfied.
Installed on my .243 Win., Pre64 Model 70 Featherweight. Very easy install after watching instillation video. Great setup if you want to keep your factory trigger group. Very fast shipping. Love M•Carbo
I have a 2003 model 70 super shadow 7wsm. The video demonstration was perfect I followed it step by step and now have a phenomenal trigger I'm so happy I did this instead of a timney trigger.
When comparing the factory trigger pull to the M-Carbo, it is night and day different! The trigger breaks clean without throwing the shot off, producing tighter groups the first trip out. Very happy with the upgrade!
Easy to install with help from video info emailed to me, thank you. Lowered trigger pull weight to acceptable amount
Very consistent product. I installed this spring on two Model 70 push feed models (80 Featherweight, 96 Varmint) and I ended up with exactly 2 lb trigger pulls on both rifles. The trigger overtravel adjustment is less than .001" on both rifles and if adjusted back to factory original .02" the trigger pull was reduced to 1.75 lb. With the factory spring reinstalled and adjusted I can get 1.75 lb trigger pulls with the minimal overtravel adjustment. With these two rifles there was no reduction in trigger pull, but it appears to be a fine trigger spring and will try them out in the other two Win70s that I have.
The screen kit was exactly what I was looking for, and it was easy to pick the right one based on the descriptions on the website. The videos guided me through the install process. Will definitely be a customer!
This is a very easy way to lower your trigger pull on the Winchester model 70. The pull weight before was just under 5 lbs after the spring swap out now have a pull weight of around 2 lb.
I bought the spring for my Model 70 (actually sold as a Sears model 53). Installation took all of 10 minutes including adjusting the over travel. I haven't put a gauge to check it but I estimate the pull at 2 pounds. Well worth the money.
I ordered this for my son’s Winchester XPR. The trigger assembly is very similar except it’s made onto the action. It is not removable. That made the install a little more difficult for the sear spring but overall it wasn’t too bad. Dropped from almost 5lb down to right over 3lb!
Installed this on a post-2008 Model 70 featherweight. Trigger went from 3.75 to 2.5~ Excellent results for ridiculous price. Recommend.
Product was super easy to install especially with the instructions and video that was attached to my order. Works great!!
Fast shipping. Spring worked as advertised
Does exactly as advertised and easy installation with the video! Strongly recommend this item and fast shipping.
I ordered and installed this in my Winchester model 70 7mm mag. This is exactly what I needed to tighten my groups. I was not sure about doing it myself but I followed the video and it worked great. I just ordered the one for my tikka .270. Can’t wait to install this one also.
