Great kit. Super fast shipping my first time buying from here but will not be the last. Quality parts. Trigger pull went from 14.5 to 8.5. Doesn’t even feel like a double action any more. Notice firing pin strikes we’re almost identical to the ones prior to work. Zero fail to fires. Great kit and service

I already had the gp100 (357) disassembled and polished when I received the trigger kit. A couple of issues with my particular gp100, 1. no hole in the handle frame to get a punch through. 2. A 1/4" drill would not work to deburr spring housing , i.e it would require milling, the 15/64 with sand paper could not be used either so I stepped the bit size down with 1000 grit the polish and its good. I think the GP100 in 357mag starting with 173- was manufactured that way. Minimal shimming was required. Average trigger break 4.3 lbs, most excellent.

trigger kit installation

installing this kit was very easy since I had the video to go by if I had any problems. I also printed off the disassembly photos in case I needed them. The job took me 3 hours as I went very slow so I didnt make a mistake. I did need to look at assembly pictures to see correct assembly of trigger parts. The only mistake in the video was the size of punches needed. I needed a 3/64 drift which I didnt have so I used a drill shank as punch. I didnt need the shims supplied in kit. The trigger pull on the SP101 is very smooth now and about half the original trigger pull.

Trigger return spring was too long, locked up gun

Great video on polishing, hammer spring was easy to replace and gave most benefit. Received return spring length 0.875". Frame latch was very tight, trigger would only come 1/2 way back. Gunsmith replaced with shorter spring, now have reliable ignition at 4.5 lbs DA, very smooth.

Can I send your spring back for testing/replacement?

Trigger Spring Problem

I had purchased the M*Carbo Trigger Spring Kit item #200033112220357 Mag|38 Spl|327 Mag|4-G-1 for my Ruger GP100 model 1771.This was order #357348 on 12/31/2020. I installed the Trigger Kit into my pistol using the YouTube video Ruger SP101 & GP100 Trigger Spring Kit - Ruger SP101 Trigger Job - M*CARBO - YouTube as a guide. After the disassembly, Trigger Kit installation, and reassembly of my firearm I found that my firearm would not cock in single action or double action. Believing that I had done something wrong in the reassembly, I disassembled the fire arm and reassembled it again following the YouTube video and still my pistol would not cock. After 8 hours of disassembly and reassembly I decided to call it a night and would tackle the project in the morning with a fresh set of eyes. The next day I did the disassembly and reassembly again following the YouTube video and still the pistol would not cock. I brought my pistol to a local Gun Smith and after some investigation he found that the .800 length Trigger Guard Latch Spring that came with the M*Carbo Trigger Kit was the problem. The .800 length Trigger Guard Latch Spring from the kit is the same length as the factory Trigger Guard Latch Spring, but does not have enough space between the spring coils to function properly. The Gun Smith put the factory Trigger Guard Latch Spring back into the pistol but left the M*Carbo Hammer Strut Mainspring from the kit in the pistol. Also during the disassembly and reassembly process I have lost one of the .001 trigger shims.

I want you to know what my experience was with installing the M*Carbo Trigger Spring Trigger Kit. If I can get a .001 trigger shim that would be wonderful.

Trigger spring too long for a Ruger GP100 champ match

Watched and followed the detail video provided by Mcarbo. Disassembled my Ruger GP100 match champion. Polished all the parts shown in the video when reassembling the pistol. Hammer would not go in, trigger couldn't be pulled the whole ways to the rear. After a few minutes of frustration. I thought about the length of the trigger spring . So I disassembled the pistol put in the original trigger spring in. And felt a sigh of relief my pistol functioned the way it should. Fast forward about an hour I started thinking about the t likes of the spring provided by Mcarbo. So I decided to cut it down and match it with the original spring. And reinstalled it everything seems to work very well trigger pull is a hell of a lot lighter lockup seems very good

I’ve ordered 2 sets of these springs and both worked perfectly. The video you can watch is extremely helpful and I am 100% pleased with everything to do with this company. Will do business with again.

Unable To Remove Trigger Group....

I've spent over 2 hours trying to remove my SP101 trigger group with no success. This is typical of my experiences with Ruger revolvers needing multiple returns and finally just dumping them. I am done with Ruger JUNK!!!!! 4 stars for a product that I can't use unless I cut up the trigger group with a saw!!!!

Very nice upgrade

The springs made a big difference and the installation video was very good. Just be forewarned....Ruger leaves things very rough....I had to get real creative to remove the trigger guard plunger, spring and latch....what should have popped out under its own spring pressure needed to be pulled out....the drill bit trick and polishing help out tremendously. MCARBO gets an A+, while Ruger needs to up their quality control.

I hesitated to buy this kit because the hammer spring seemed too light but I'm really glad I went for it. I'm very handy but I'm not a gunsmith and I had all of the trigger work done in a couple hours of not working very hard at all. I initially liked how the trigger felt and went to test it at the range the next day. It fired every type of magnum and .38 I could get my hands on 100%. It feels almost as good as my Smith and Wesson performance center revolver, which is excellent considering I'm not expecting any job offers from performance center. Don't hesitate to buy this for your Ruger, the difference is night and day without losing any reliability!

Very smooth.

I didn’t achieve the sub-5 lbs but I reduced the double-action pull on my GP100 by 2 lbs to 9 lbs 13 oz. I’m not terribly disappointed with that as it is a very smooth 9 lbs. A nice improvement. Well worth it.
