M-Carbo's trigger and spring kit for my brand new KelTec KSG brought the trigger from the absolute worst ever (out of a very large collection) to the very best (at least for my shotguns). When I first got the KSG, the trigger made the gun unusable and measured an erratic 10 to 15 lb pull. I know this pull isn't typical for the KSG and with some polishing of the sear and trigger bar, I got it down to about 7-1/2 lbs. Still not great, and still a ton of slop in the pre-travel. After installation of the M-Carbo trigger and spring kit, the trigger pull is now 3.6 lbs and pre-travel is very small and adjusted to my liking. Most aftermarket triggers yielding this much improvement are going to cost well over $100 or even $200. It's the best trigger of my shotguns and vastly superior to my 3 other bullpups. Yes, the installation isn't easy and can be frustrating, but follow along with the video and you'll succeed. The install might seem tough, but when I finished, it worked perfectly.

This is one the best upgrades you can do to your KSG (IMO)

It takes a really good shotgun to a new level and makes it outstanding!! Remember to order the spring kit when you order the trigger.

The install took me about 30 min. (Watch the video it will make it a no brainer) I did take some time to polish the sear but it's not needed just use the grease and you'll be happy with the results.

Thanks Mcarbo!

not as advertised

Bought this trigger and spring in hopes to achieve a 3 to 4 lb. trigger pull. Ended up with 6. So the positive side I suppose is that I ended up w/less trigger travel. That was a lot of work and money just for less trigger travel.

Not needed, but GREAT

KSG's stock plastic trigger group - IN A BULLPUP - is exactly what you would expect: Not horrible but not great either. It simply gets the job done, every time. As a bonafide gun snob though, most all my polymer weapons end up with aluminum triggers. It is what it is. So the KSG underwent this surgery as well. It is now much better than the original, but no, I do not have the "3.5 pound trigger pull!", but alas, I do not care. It is indeed better than stock, better than most, better than the S&W by far, and the removal of the pretravel is worth the price of admission alone. There is so much that "could" be done with the sear engagement surfaces... but again, it IS a bullpup, and once you start fiddling with that sloppy geometry, you could easily end up with and unsafe weapon. Once you get inside the trigger group of the KSG you immediately realize how complex things are AND how well they did in the original design, with all that polymer and lanky linkage and springs. M*CARBO did an amazing job taking it up a notch!

Installed the aluminum trigger on my KSG. The MCARBO installation video was a huge help. Looks great and functions perfectly.

The KSG kicks like a mule and this trigger, with reduced take up, has eliminated the recoil anticipation.

You no longer have to go into Viking mode to operate this weapon, this trigger combined with a muzzle brake and recoil pad make it a pleasure to shoot.

Easy install and great feel too!!

should be the standard

The install was enjoyable and the result even more so! Zero pretravel with a clean break and a solid feel. The installation video is great. Watch it a couple times, gather your tools and have fun! Oh, and be mindful of those springs indeed...

Spring and Target Trigger kits are a must for the KSG

I purchased the combination of the trigger kit and the target trigger from M*Carbo. I followed the video instructions, and after fiddling with the lube on the trigger, and the rest of the innerworkings, I did finally get all the parts to come together, and adjusted the trigger to zero play in the trigger, which is way better than how the original setup was. Outstanding setup, great video for people who don't have fat fingers, and ultimately a 3.5 lb. trigger pull with no play - Outstanding!
