When I do any trigger job MCARBO is my source of inspiration. This kit was as easy as any I have done. It cut the trigger pull in half and made my daughter a much improved shot with the Micro 9. She loves it I installed it and paid for it. What's not to like about that. Good stuff hoping for Rock Island baby rock 380 kit.
Easy to install, and Reduces trigger pull by 25%
I’m very please with this kit. It was fast shipping, easy to install and it really does what the company says it does. First. The springs look and feel like good quality. The installation is pretty straight forward specially if you have some experience with 1911’s. Now the important thing is that even when the kit sheds a couple of pounds off the trigger pull it still feels safe to carry. Also gives the trigger a crisper break so it’s easy to learn when it’s going to break. The only reason I’m taking my time to write this review is because I’m very impressed with the change on how the trigger feels. I highly recommend it. AL
The trigger upgrade is well worth the price. Installation was simple and straight forward with the video that made it a breeze. Trigger pull was 11lbs factory and 4.5 lbs after, awesome!!
price was low, shipping was fast, video was very informative and made installation quick & easy. dont have a trigger pull guage to check but pull is much better, i would guess about 50 % lighter like the video says, watching the video at first i was a little intimedated, but you can replay parts of the video until you get it. just do like the guy on the video says and dont do like i did and let a spring fly across the house, thankfully i found it. i cant think of any reason to give less than a 5star review. thanks m-carbo for a great product.
This upgrade was for a Kimber Micro 9 Rapide. Initial trigger weight from factory was over 10 lbs. Returned to factory for evaluation, they replaced the trigger assembly and other minor parts. Trigger weight down to 8 lbs, which they claim was within factory specs. Ordered this set, installed hammer spring and firing pin spring and tested it, definite reduction in trigger weight. Went ahead with sear spring installation, which was NOT a simple task, taking over 3 hours to successful installation. Trigger weight was 5.5 pounds. Range testing showed light strikes on random rounds and failure to fire at least 2 rounds of 7. Replaced the hammer spring with the factory spring, trigger weight now 6.5 lbs, and still experiencing failure to fire. Suspect that the primers might be the cause, but why the light strikes on the primers? Is the hammer spring just too light? Using CCI small pistol primers, will try out different brand of primer when available.
I found the parts well made, I viewed the installation video a couple of times and installed my first kit, everything went well and the firearm worked great afterwards, a week later I installed the second kit in my other firearm with great results. This is great parts are well made and work better than OEM, I currently looking into other kits for some of my other firearms. Thank you
The kit was relatively easy to install after watching the video. The results are fantastic. The trigger pull is much lighter and very smooth. I highly recommend this product.
Took it to the range today and the trigger was great. The only issue is the sear spring was to long a was hitting the over rotation pin, a few minutes on a stone and it was good to go.
Quality parts and a very reasonable price. This kit does a lot to make your micro 9 a better firearm. Easier to use, and because of that, a better shot. I highly recommend this spring kit (and don’t miss the installation video). Thank you guys for making the shooting sport better without cleaning your customer’s wallets out.
Love this trigger spring kit for my Kimber Micro 9. Was able to install it easily by watching the MCarbo how to video. It is amazingly smooth with a nice short reset. It brought down the pull to about 3 lbs. Great product.
This was very easy to install in my micro 9, I don't have good trigger pull ga. but it is much better now . And came very fast usps . Thanks
My install took a little bit of time,but well wourth it.I do not have a good trigger gage so I do not know the trigger pull in pounds but it dose feel better.That sear was kind of a pain!
I purchased the spring kit for my Kimber micro 9 that worked flawlessly, had the kit installed by a professional gunsmith that I had used many times in the past because I was also replacing the push in sights at the same time. After the install the gun was totally unreliable due to many misfires on many different types and brand of ammo. I told the gunsmith to take out M CARBO kit and reinstall the stock parts and the gun works perfectly. I then sent the kit back to M Carbo and told them I was not concerned about refund I just wanted them to know the results and let them have their R&D team investigate the returned parts. They were very nice and offered to send a replacement, however I was not going to go through another install and perhaps removal process. They did send a prepaid return label. I hope this will help them see what sometimes happens and cure the problems.
Got the kit. Went in easily enough. Trigger feels like about a 50% reduction.
I am a novice at this. great product. i will buy agian. easy intall.
