Bought my Micro 9, got to the range and experienced the worst trigger ever. It maxed my Wheeler gauge at over 8lbs. HORRIBE!! Nearly decided to dump the Kimber, and decided to search for a solution and found this three piece kit with install video and ordered it. Three days later I got it, watched the video and installed. WOW!!! Dropped my pull down to 5.5 lbs and very smooth. It was the video that sold me and I'm glad I didn't sell my gun.
I have done both my Micro 9 and Micro 380. Did the 9 first and then the 380 after the first trip to the range with the 9. Trigger pull and feel are both refined. Hammer effort to cock was MUCH reduced.
Stock trigger is the worst I seen in a Kimber. The springs help a lot. The trigger is still crap.
If you want to noticeably improve the trigger pull on your micro 9, this is the solution. Follow the video instructions carefully using proper tools and the job is not too difficult. At least a 40% improvement and no more “crunchiness” that I would feel before the kit was installed.
My first Kimber and actually was for Spouse. Dry firing into SnapCaps was a heavy pull for her. Updated to this kit and todays first time firing the new Kimber was a fantastic experience. Happy wife happy life :). To install was very easy hardest part was the hex wrench and removing the grips without scratching things. Would do it all again .
Kimber makes great firearms and the Micro 9 is certainly no exception. The MCARBO trigger spring kit I installed on my Micro 9 made a huge difference in my ability to shoot tight groups by reducing the trigger pull to 3 pounds, exactly as advertised. It’s easy to install by watching the video. I highly recommend this kit.
Bought the spring kit for my Raptor Micro 9, first tested the pull numbers before and after. After the cleaning and install the 5 pull average turned out to be 2.91, Holy Crap big difference from 5.43 average.
This is a must have for any kimber 9 or .380 I received it today and installed it In 25 mins following the video. I am mechanically inclined so it was persay easier for me but this is amazing. I would've paid $100 for this trigger reduction. Can't wait to get to the range. Recoil spring is next and it will literally the perfect carry. Thank you for making this kit. The shear made a world difference.
Fairly straight-forward install. Used the video as a guide. Didn't have to take the sear/ejector assembly out though. With some patience and playing around with the angle of the sear spring it will drop in correctly. You might have to push on it through the magwell some to get it to clear the ejector. Overall very happy with the new trigger weight. Makes it a whole different pistol and much more enjoyable.
This kit is fantastic and makes the Micro 9 a much better carry gun. Yes, it's a bit challenging to install but not beyond the skill of a regular gun owner. Just take your time and follow along with the video. Patience is a virtue. Once done, you'll be rewarded with a gun that shoots the way it should from the factory. Smooth clean break at just over 3 lbs. Very happy with this kit all the way around.
Fairly straight forward installation. Instructions provided are well illustrated and thought out. Did have a little trouble reinstalling the sear, but that was mostly my fat fingers at fault there. Would definately recommend for this pistol
The trigger pull now is amazing! I also got bought the punches, hammer and block to help with tear down and install. Glad I spent the extra money for the tools.
After posting a negative review about the delay in shipping and lack of communication, I had to write a follow up review. Got my trigger kit, had it installed, and now I live it. Nice crisp trigger pull. Clean break at about 4 pounds followed by a nice reset. I am more than happy with this new trigger. I do highly recommend it without hesitation.
I haven't installed this kit yet. I have purchased other spring kits from Mcarbo and they do make a difference in trigger performance. Great company to order from. Their installation video's are top notch, awesome detail and camera angels so it is easy to see what is going on. Thank you Mcarbo, I know I will be ordering more products, keep up the fantastic work.
I just purchased my micro 9 a week ago and wasn't impressed with the trigger pull especially a single action gun. I installed the micro 9 trigger kit and wow its about half of what it was down around 3.2lbs. Love it
I’ve never taken a pistol down past field stripping and certainly have never attempted any at home pistol-smithing; however, with the help of the amazing video I was able to complete this with only minor issues. I always conceptually knew what the video wanted it was only the matter of my technique I had to figure out with installation of the sear. Other than that, smooth sailings. Ya’ll have a customer for life if someone like me, with no technical know how, can walk away confident after your parts kit and a video. Cheers.
