Installed the spring kit in my wife's micro 9mm and it is a completely different gun. Trigger was over 7lbs now its 4.5lbs, the kit is very cost effective and easy to install. I watched the installation video and installed the kit in less than 15 minutes. The quality and price of this kit are great.

Kimber Micro9 Sear Spring Wouldn't Install Properly

Review

I purchased the kit after viewing the installation video and it seemed quite simple. The hammer spring and the firing pin spring were quite easy to install. I really struggled to get the sear between the sear spring and the trigger bar. Once I was finally able to do that I reassembled the gun and checked out the trigger pull. After my first pull the hammer wouldn't stay in the cocked position unless I pulled it all the back and held it for a couple of seconds. I also couldn't half cock the hammer and when I released the safety the trigger fired. I disassembled the gun and took out the sear spring and replaced it with the factory one and everything worked normally. I looked at the sear spring and the sear side of it looked short and I though it was broken but after looking at the picture again I noticed that it's the way it comes. I decided to remove the trigger and see if installing it that way would fix the installation but I had the same results so I'm sticking with the factory sear spring.Maybe I'm a klutz but I was able the install the sear with the factory spring with no problem. I'm Keeping the kit and will use the other 2 springs to see it it helps the trigger pull.

Good company and excellent installation videos. They responded to my email immediately to answer my questions. I will use them in the future since they have excellent customer service.

I bought the kit a couple of months ago and it contained the hammer spring and firing pin spring. My trigger pull was off the charts prior to installation, so to speak, because my Wheeler slide gauge (not the digital version) would max out at over 8 pounds before the trigger would break. After the original two springs were installed I had a 6.5 to 6.75 pound pull. MCarbo added a sear spring to the kit in the meantime, so I ordered one and it brought the pull down to about a 5.5 pound average. A nice improvement. The service was great and the installation video was indispensable. I don't think I'd have even tried the product without it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating was that the installation video showed a result around 3 pounds after installation, so I was hoping for something slightly less than what I got. However, that's probably a bit unfair because my gun had such a tight pull before I got the first two springs that maybe I shouldn't have expected any more improvement. Hats off to MCarbo for a great product and great service.

I bought these based on all the great reviews this product got. It did not disappoint. I have not been able to shoot the gun yet but it did lighten the trigger around 50%. The video did good job of detailing the spring change. The only thing it did not cover was the ambidextrous safety. With a little mechanical aptitude you can figure it out. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because I have not actually fired the gun yet. If it fires without issue I would have givenn it 5 stars.

I have had my Kimber Rose gold micro 9mm for about 5 years and the trigger is around 6.5 and 7 lbs.Kimber says that is where it is supposed to be.I have many different brand pistols from 1911 to striker fired.I take them completely apart when I clean and lube my guns.I installed this M*CARBO trigger kit.Took me maybe 15 minutes.I measured the trigger pull before and after.I cycled the gun many times but the trigger pull didnt change in my opinion. The trigger pull on my gauge showed the same 6 to 7 lbs.Maybe the kit reduced trigger pull .5 lbs.I was worried I would get 3.5 lbs as seen in some videos.I did not want trigger pull less than 4 lbs.Well I am not getting anywhere near 4lbs.

I probably could have gotten the same results just taking out the stock sear spring and bending it back to lessen the pressure on the trigger bar.I feel the hard trigger is caused by the sear and the hammer where the two connect there is a ledge where the trigger bar pushed back the sear releasing the hammer. This is my opinion and the results I got.You may get something different.

We bought the new Kimber Rapide and the trigger was not as good as we thought it would be, we were having a hard time hitting anything with it. I bought the spring kit and installed it, which went pretty smoothly. We took it to a shooting gallery with reactive targets. What a difference, it was like a totally different gun, we were hitting everything. There is nothing like a good trigger pull. This is an absolutely fantastic upgrade, do not hesitate, it is well worth the time and money. Absolutely no misfires, the pistol ran flawlessly. I am now ordering a kit for my Beretta.

Kimber should put this spring kit in at the factory or at least have it as an option

Completely transforms how the pistol shoots. Factory springs were so heavy. This kit for the Kimber Micro .380 makes the little thing so shootable. Trigger pull is now perfect. A must have upgrade for your Micro .380. Kimber should offer the option from the factory of having this kit installed.

Installation was easy enough with MCARBOs' youtube install video.

I couldn't be more pleased with how my Micro .380 shoots now with the kit installed.

Thank You MCARBO for a perfect product!

Received the kit, reviewed the installation video. Had it completed in about 20 minutes. Very easy to follow directions and the spring kit makes a world of difference in the shoot-ability of any gun. I have kits for several different pistols and love them all. If you want your trigger pull closer to a competition pull, don't hesitate to get the kit for your type of pistol.
