The Kimber Micro 9 is too small for a 6 pound trigger, what a difference this 3 pound trigger kit made, I'm now seeing the tight groups that I would expect from a Kimber. The trigger Kit was delivered within a few days, the You-tube video clarified installation and the results were as advertised.

Love this Kimber Micro 380. Amazing Trigger Now

As frustrated as I was installing this kit (all because of my own fault for not following instruction video). This trigger job dropped the trigger from a mid 6 lb pull that was really rough and had a spot that it felt like it was grinding for a bit, to a amazing trigger that is like melted butter smooth with pulls in the low 3's to mid 2 lbs. I can't say enough about how good and smooth the trigger pull is now, it's almost scary smooth. Best trigger from all my guns. Get one and not even think about it you will love it as long as you have some good tools and skills to do some careful work.

Trigger spring kit was installed by MCarbo on the Micro 9, an M&P Bodyguard 380, a Kel-Tec P3AT, and a Ruger LC9s. We discussed beforehand what would be done. I shipped the guns to them. It took about 2 weeks to complete the work and return the guns. Not only did they install the trigger spring kits but they also test fire the guns and correct a couple of issues on two of the guns. They were very responlsive to my emails and even called me a couple of times to let me know what was going on. The modifications are terrific and their work is awesome. I will have them do work for me again and highly recommend them for any gunsmith work anyone may need. I am fortunate to have found them. Thanks for all your excellent work.

I have a Kimber Micro 9 Rapide Black Ice and this kit is compatible with that pistol. The major difference in the regular Micro 9 and the Rapide is the slide is lighter in the Rapide. The internals are the same. I strongly suggest you watch the YouTube video on the installation, it's about 29 minutes long, but well worth it. Caution, WATCH THAT SAFETY SPRING! If you lose it, it's $16 from Kimber. Replacing the sear and ejector after installing the new sear spring is tedious, but patience and watching how he does it helps a lot. I tested the pull after I installed just the firing pin and hammer springs, and it was down around 5 pounds, so when I get the safety spring re-installed, I'll test again, but it should go down to about 4 pounds or so. Well worth the cost, but if you feel it's over your head, or you have hand issues, ask MCARBO to install them for you. Again, still worth the cost.

Made a nice difference!

I would rate this as an intermediate level gunsmithing project. You need to have at least a bit of experience at taking guns apart, but the wonderful on line tutorial will take care of you. I followed the tutorial and in less time that it took to watch it, I had removed the old parts, and re-installed the new ones, he and I finished our function checks at almost exactly the same time. I don't have a trigger weight gauge but subjectively, I would estimate I now have a 25-30% lighter trigger. Next time I do one of these, I will lightly polish the disconnector, sear and hammer notches.

Well worth the money.

Made my 9lb trigger a 7lb trigger

I just bought a Kimber Micro 9, I have 3 CDPs in 45 all are excellent and have a 3.5 lb trigger pull. This micro 9 came in at over 9lbs and the safety feels like there is gravel in it can hardly work it without cutting your thumb. Cheaper gun cheaper product, but I expected more from Kimber.

Put the spring kit in it and it is now down to 7lbs but it feels better than that like maybe 5lbs. If I want it any better I will have to do some sear work on it. Trigger take up is still huge.

So expect improvement but it won't fix poor manufacturing.

I fired 2 CCI primers, one before and one after. The after was just a little lighter strike, but deeper than is needed to fire the round. The factory hit almost put a hole in it.

Fast shipping. Quality parts kit. The instruction video is top notch and made installation a snap. Significant trigger pull reduction. This is a must for all Kimber micro9 pistols.

This kit was fantastic! It takes a little patience to install not because of the kit parts but due to getting the sear, lined-up, held and secured in place. Once done though the trigger went from as estimated 7 lbs and inconsistent feeling to more like a consisting breaking 1911 trigger (maybe 5 lbs?). Proof though is that my groupings at 21 ft. tightened considerably (2") due exclusively to this kit. Awesome! MCarbo is also a pleasure to do business with!!

Making a great pistol better!

I installed this spring kit in my Kimber Micro 380. It works as advertised, so that is not surprise. What is a surprise is how much tighter my shooting pattern is now.

I test shot with a defensive grip, single handed left and right hands. All groupings were a least 1/2 the size that they were with the original trigger pull.

I am very happy with this kit and will recommend it to friends.

Kit delivered the result I was looking for. Install was easy except for sear. Can't have enough light and found doing the sear first then the ejector worked easiest.

Yes…. I had to wait, while the kit was being redesigned. When I received notification that they were back in stock, I ordered. MCARBO kept me in the loop as to shipping status. The day before it arrived, MCARBO sent another email with links to the instructional video and a few contact points to reach out to if I had any issues. (None) The kit installed, from tear down to reassembly in 25 minutes. The trigger has noticeably improved and I can’t wait to get to the range. Thank you MCARBO for being first rate….

I ordered the Kimber Micro 9 spring kit on a Friday afternoon and had it in my hands the following Monday afternoon with free first class shipping. I reviewed the installation video on the website and had no trouble getting the parts installed on the little Micro 9. This was a great experience all around! Thank you Chris!
