Fast shipping, 10 min. installation, took pull from 5.5 lbs to 3.5 lbs.
EXACTLY what I needed. Very user friendly website. Thank you mcarbo. I will f/u with details after installation.
Marlin makes affordable, sweet shooting guns, but their triggers are set too heavy. We can probably thank the legal department at Marlin for that. But, this trigger spring kit solves that issue. I own two Marlins in .17 caliber, different cartridges. I looked at the install video before the springs arrived, and when they arrived, I had them both installed in about 20 minutes with no problems. While I have been doing some minor work on my own guns for several years, I think that anyone with a screwdriver could easily complete this install. And, both triggers were significantly improved. Now all that’s left is a trip to the range!
I have two marlins, a .22 and a .22 magnum. These trigger springs are very easy to install and made a huge difference in lightening up the trigger pull. I'm very happy that I made this purchase, well worth the money.
Works great. Trigger went from 6 pounds to 3 pounds. Best money I’ve spent!
I installed this spring in my older Model 25M (.22WMR) rifle to lighten the pull resistance. Not only was the install well explained and shown in a video but the spring arrived within a few days following online order. Except for slight differences in the disassembly/reassembly of the trigger mechanism in my older Marlin, the spring went in perfectly and the trigger lightened right up as my range test proved. I perceived a noticeable trigger pull reduction with my first round and placed 30 of 33 rounds in the two ten rings at 100 yards using a simple bi-pod and 9X scope. Ten rounds were in the X ring. I would recommend this conversion to anyone seeking a simple trigger pull reduction at a very affordable price. Well done MCARBO! i
So about 6 months ago I found this camo stocked 25N in .22 LR. Having never seen one, and knowing Marlin accuracy and the price in the pawnshop was very inviting. I brought the rifle home, cleaned and mounted a scope on it and off to the range I went. Accuracy was not what I was expecting bench rest shooting. I typically start group testing with Federal Bulk 38 gr hollow point, but the trigger pull on this rifle was atrocious. So after doing a little research I bought the MCARBO replacement spring for the 917/925 took the rifle apart, removed the trigger and examined all the parts, cleaned them very well replaced the trigger spring and added some Super Lube teflon grease to connecting parts and put it all back together. Trigger pull is now 2 pounds, Cannot wait to get it to the range and see how it does. Currently 7 weeks post op for total knee replacement, and weather is a little cool still here in WV.
I didn’t measure the trigger pull weight before installing the M*CARBO trigger spring in my Marlin 917 VSF but there is definitely a noticeable improvement. There’s a ton of horrible information on the internet about the ball point pen spring modification. I couldn’t bring myself to go that route years ago! It doesn’t take a genius to see the flaws in that approach. Spend $12+ dollars and have some peace of mind knowing you have something that was designed and tested to perform for the application. Mechanical firearm parts are not something that should be cheaped out on. That said... it is well worth the investment. Easy installation, reduced pull weight. Is it the ultimate trigger mod?... nope. Is it the best mod for the money?... Absolutely!
Easy install...Works great...Trigger pull much better!
My Marlin 880 has always been a good shooting rifle. I often wondered how it would shoot with a better trigger but I couldn't afford to take it to a gunsmith. I found this M*carbo product online and decided to purchase it to see if it would make a difference. The Marlin 917v/925 spring was shipped and arrived within a few days. I watched the installation video online and easily installed the spring into my Marlin 880. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but the spring did make a big difference in the weight of the trigger pull. My rifle has a much better trigger now with this spring. Yes, I would recommend that you try it in your Marlin rifle.
Not a noticeable difference from the stock spring. I don't have a trigger pull scale, so just going by feel.
Easy install for a really good trigger break. Great product
For a surefire inexpensive way to improve your marlin 925,this spring is the way to go. The people at M*CARBO strive for customer service.
SUPERLATIVE product -- was considering purchasing a newer (and costlier) HMR 17 as the trigger pull on my 917 VR has horrendous. This kit was easy to install, directions easy to follow, and solved the problem in less that 15 minutes. In Navy parlance "Bravo Zulu" (well done) to you !
The new trigger spring was a worthwhile upgrade to my old, but accurate, Marlin 883 22 mag. No issues with the fit or install - very simple. Trigger pull was reduced about 50% to 2.5 pounds. Never really minded the heavy trigger pull until I used this rifle exclusively on a ground squirrel shoot last April - after 400 shots in 3 days I knew I needed to upgrade. Had planned to change the entire trigger, but thought it was worth taking a chance on a $13 spring...what's the worse that could happen? Glad I did. And so will you.
I have a marlin25mn that has great accuracy but was hard to produce because of the trigger. Fortunately this product Is a quick cost effective remedy . It is also simple to install and quick. It improved the crispness to the trigger break and did seem to lighten it up noticeably well. Thanks MCARBO for this awesome USA made improvement! Have a great day.
