Installed spring kit on older model CPX-2 (purchased 2013). Being that I was over meticulous it took nearly an hour and a half in order to ensure that operation was satisfactory and I didn't mar the finish. I estimate (using a luggage scale) that approx. 2.5 lbs of pull was eliminated (from 8.5 to 6). Ran a few rounds of Win. 115gr to op. ck., then a few rounds of Russian made ammo, being that they're known for hard primers. Operation checked normal and I am pleased with the modified trigger pull. M*CARBO video instruction is excellent.
I gave this kit a 5 star off the bat because of it`s apparent quality and operation upon install. I havn`t been to the range yet but it`s initial operation is exactly what I was looking for. Definitely look for increase in accuracy. The install video was about the best and most thorough I`ve ever seen, a definite plus on that one.
First off, their handling time was fast and shipping was quick to Montana. The video put together by MCARBO could get a chimpanzee through the replacement process, very detailed. They were also very consistent in reaching out to me via email regarding status updates. On to the parts. After replacing all 3 springs I experienced a noticeable drop in trigger pull weight. Without a way to test it I can't be sure but 4 lbs sounds about right. The downside was that I was getting a lot of light strikes. Like 30%... Not good for a concealed carry gun. I reduced the firing pin spring by maybe 10% and was able to test 40 rounds throught it without a single misfire. Now, if you're like me...you love the idea of this simple gun but hate the stock trigger pull. This kit will in no way shorten the length of pull required to fire, doesn't claim to, just remember that. Also I find the replacement trigger return spring to be maybe a bit light, it does the job but I may return to the stock spring for a firmer feel on the trigger return. That said after some customization, I really like how this weapon shoots now. Much better grouping and the pull is far more appropriate. I'm not the least bit worried about accidental discharge as the firing pin is always under tension being held back and requires a fair amout of inertia to strike the primer. All in all this kit out of the package made for a great trigger feel but gets 4 stars because of all the light strikes. Maybe consider lightening the firing pin spring a bit and enhancing the trigger return MCARBO. I think that would make for an excellent trigger feel and perfect strikes. After making some modifications... this is absolutely the best $20 you can spend on this gun. Good luck shooters and be safe!
This is my first pistol and first time taking a gun apart, the instructional video is perfect. Trigger pull is so much easier now, great results for a great price!
This kit was out-of-stock, so I ordered the CPX-3/4 kit and found that the hammer springs are identical, installed it and the gun now is shootable. Did not use the other springs. The kit arrived before it was expected.
I received my order from M-Carbo very fast. Springs were exact fit, hammer spring had an internal wick in it to retain oil - nice touch. Reduced my trigger pull by 2 pounds +/-

Installed this kit along with the straight trigger kit. The combination only reduced the trigger pull by 2 lbs. (from 9lbs to 7lbs,) The trigger pull length was reduced by a VERY small amount. For me these two upgrades were not worth the effort. I will be re-installing the stock springs and trigger.

Shipping took a little longer then normal. my cpx 2 went from a 8.5 trigger to a 4.5 pound trigger. Great install video, Finished install in about 25 min. I have not shot it yet but dry fire feels great. Thank you M*CARBO.
The SCCY CPX-2 is my first handgun. It's a great gun for the price but the 8lb factory trigger pull ,while probably safer for a novice, was a negative for me. I followed the installation video and replaced all the springs. I'm just back from the range and I have to say this is awesome upgrade. I believe my accuracy has improved and the SCCY no longer feels like a "budget" gun. Thanks M*Carbo!
Product is good - as advertised. It absolutely reduces the trigger pull compared to the OEM trigger pull. The installation video is a must, and most helpful for the novice.
installed kit with minor problems . your video was very good .replaced some parts i got from sccy and polished rubbing surfaces trigger pull was reduced with no stacking or staging smooth.fired two brands ammo with gun .reset ok. no problems
I have cpx-1 to install you have remove the safety which was easy to do.reduced my trigger pull a lot. you can tell the difference I don't think it reduced to 4.5 pounds but it did reduce it.Im happy with the trigger upgrade.
