I did a spring kit on a brand new CPX-2 Red Dot. I watched the installation video which was excellent. A few tips to share. Being a brand new gun the frame pins were very tight. The 3/32 Punch was a hair too large once I got the pins started I had to move to a smaller punch, then they came out easily. Just have a size or two smaller available for the job.

After installation, I made a range trip and it has become a brand new pistol compared to stock. The trigger is very light and smooth. You still have to let it come all the forward to reset, as a short stroke will result in a dead trigger. My results at 25 yards at an indoor range with the factory crimson trace red dot are on the attached photo. Don't be afraid to follow the video and do the install yourself, well worth the money. Great product.

Well worth the wait!! With the very detailed instructional video( which is very descriptive) I was able to do the install myself with little or no problems. Cut the trigger pull weight in half. Run 40 rounds 380 ammo no hiccups!! 👍🏻👍🏻

I use a laser cartridge for practice a lot. Really dreaded the SCCY because of the really long and outrageously heavy trigger pull!!

Installed the spring upgrade ( and found the hammer roll pin was not completely in position also).

Now it actually registers on my trigger pull scale ( 7 1/2 lbs) and is now a pleasure to shoot.

Very pleased with the product and highly recommend.

Although I did not have to contact customer service, MCARBO followed through the whole order, ship, receive process via email. I have no doubt that if there was an issue they would have corrected it promptly. The instructions and parts were exact and the whole process was very easy. I have yet to shoot the pistol but the trigger pull is about half of what it was ( maybe 4-1/2 lbs.).

My trigger was 9.5 lbs after I did some polish work and instilled the spring kit it dropped to just 4 lbs but it is lots better than before. I think that after i put a few rounds through it that it will get some better. Great spring kit.

This spring kit made my new Sccy CPX2 a very good pistol and the installation video was very good, I had a slight problem because I didn’t push the trigger pin completely in and the trigger would not return but I dismantled it and properly seated the pin and it works perfectly, excellent parts.

Damn good upgrade

Installed the kit this evening. Even just dry firing the pistol is much better. Big improvement over the factory spec trigger pull. Never done dime washer exercises on a pistol but it would really show in muzzle movement. The install video is a real help as well. Thanks mcarbo!

First.. the spring kit does what it claims. Parts took a month to get here due to back order however. M*Carbo might want to change ordering policy for back orders and make it a notice for when parts are back in stock instead. Otherwise, they were great about keeping me informed.

I also purchased the armors block when I got the spring kit's. Three CPX-2's live here, I put kits in two of them.

First install went as planned. Second install had one hangup. I misplaced a body pin. Looked everywhere, on floor, in my clothes, all over the bench, in the pin punch box because they're magnetic. I resolved myself to the fact it was gone. Looked online for replacements...FWIW, do not lose a body pin!

Then for some reason I looked into a hole in the armorers block. Nothing. Turned it over and saw a tiny little hole on one side where there wasn't one on the other side. Shook the block and out popped that pin!

It appears the blocks are printed. The printing overshot the hole that was programed in so the hole (which turned out to be square) was covered on both sides. I just happened to not notice I was driving the pin out slightly off-center of the big center hole and the pin found this one. Mystery solved! I still have three operational CPX's!

My backyard range is snowed in for now but dry firing feels easier.

Just mounted the springs myself, mounting the parts took 5 minutes (searching the tools 15 :-/ )

Now I can easily pull the trigger back until I feel the point where its breaks. This make the gun 300% more controllable.

I also skipped the reset spring (as some reviere here suggested) but I polished the reset mechanism because it was poorly manufactured.

I thing it was absolutely worth the effort and every penny.

Definitely a necessary upgrade

This kit improved the trigger function significantly! Huge difference compared to the 7lbs factory trigger. I have no issues with the included parts. HOWEVER, I just wish it also included a trigger spring pin replacement. The factory trigger spring pin on my CPX-2 had become bent after a few hundred rounds and ultimately failed which eventually led me to finding this kit so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the sale (pun intended) but I am unfortunately having to contact SCCY to replace a single little pin... so, judging from the handful of trigger pulls I managed to get in before the spring slipped off for the millionth time, it definitely improved the trigger mechanism with a much easier and much smoother break and reset.

Definitely recommend!

The Sccy CPX-2 has a pretty hard trigger pull. Buying these replacement springs made all the difference. Cuts the original trigger pull in half. The trigger pull is great now and I’m truly happy with it. Definitely recommend it.

Definitely reduce trigger pull, but...

The kit reduced the trigger pull by about half; however, after installing the kit, I had three fail-to-fire rounds out of 30 rounds, which is a 10% failure rate. The rounds fired on the second try. I used the same ammo as I did before.

I really hope the spring kit works out, but if i encounter the same problems the next time I go to the range, then I'm putting the original springs back in.
