I installed two trigger spring kits on sccy cpx-2. Both kits, even though advertised as a 50% reduction. When installed only did less than 10% reduction. When I contacted the company about the issue. Response was, Thanks for contacting us. Sorry to hear you didn't get the results you expected. All results vary for trigger pull reductions due to manufacturing tolerances from the factory of both the firearm and our springs.” I have been assembling firearms and upgrades for over 30 years. Never have I seen such a company that doesn’t even attempt to resolve an issue. As a veteran myself, I hold my work quality to a higher standard. I expected the same from Mcarbo, but was let down.

I was going to wait till I got to take my sccy cpx2 to the range and put some rounds through it with the new spring upgrade. But alas..... I haven't gotten there yet. BUT.... The spring upgrade kit makes my sccy cycle and function manually better then out of the box. Thanks guys. Very informative installation video as well. I will add another review after the range. Again thank you.
Had a kit put into my CPX-2.. Can really tell the difference in the travel distance and clean break. The kit removed the original squishy feeling and the long travel distance, which attributed to targeting issues. Would highly recommend...
It worked great made a cheap little gun much better. My friends like it so much I'm ordering two more.
So far I'm very happy with the difference the new springs make. Much lighter trigger pull now. I followed along with the Youtube video as others have. The instructions were perfectly detailed and easy to follow. Took me about 30 minutes. if you're a little handy with tools you should have no problems... I'll take my CPX-2 to the range to see how she runs.
I wanted to give this kit 5 stars, but the trigger return spring did not reset my trigger so I had to use my original trigger return spring. Overall, this kit lowered my trigger pull from 10 lbs to 7 lbs and the installation video was very helpful and my trigger pull is now in a comfortable range. Good kit overall.
I bought a SCCY CPX2 many years ago and have hated it. Until I decides to buy this spring kit. Now I love shooting this pistol! It's brought my accuracy up at least 70% or higher! It's like a completely different pistol!
I was referred to M*Carbo by the dealer that sold me my firearm. He raved and raved about the difference once he installed this spring kit. Well, I had SOME luck with the trigger pull after looking at a few YouTube videos but for $20 I figured to take a chance and I'm glad I did! The step by step install video on M*Carbo's site was very helpful and I was able to overcome the problem with the safety with a quick email to their customer service. Now this handgun (CPX-1) can conceivably be my edc. The pull and recoil is soft and smooth as butter. I can't believe that with a thumb safety, SCCY doesn't put these springs in as OEM... but that's job security for the aftermarket guys. If you're going for the SCCY product, unless you like the pull of a revolver, buy these springs... you won't be disappointed!
This is the second SCCY I’ve used this spring kit in. I would recommend this to anyone who purchased a SCCY pistol and looking for a more comfortable trigger pull. Great company and quality products.
I purchased my sccy 2weeks ago and it was a no brainers to change it the springs. MCarbo never disappoints. The difference is outstanding, like night and day. You folks are the best, customer service is awesome and the videos, well I had mine done in 30 minutes, for a lack of a better word AWESOME
I'm so happy to have found M-carbo. Just installed the spring kit in my girlfriend's SCCY CPX-1. What a stunning change without having to go to a gunsmith! Shipping was super fast and customer service is excellent!
I bought two sets as I have CPX-2 for myself and one for my wife. She wanted a lighter trigger and it made sense to do both. I tried to do the install myself but found the pins to hard to tap out. So, I took it to a gunsmith and he said "wow, that is a hard trigger." After the install he was impressed in the difference. It is night and day. So happy with the MCarbo.
All I can say is WOW !!! The CPX-2 trigger kit turned this little heater into a whole new weapon. The trigger pull is now smooth and easy, and not 9 lbs. The install is not difficult as long as you: 1) Follow the video which is very clear 2) Have the correct size punches The two main pins are quite tight - keep at it and they'll start to move. Note: some punches come with a pointed tip. I suggest you file that point, on your punch, flat so you have a flat surface mating against the flat surface of the pin. Those pointed punches are apt to slip off of the pin, and you wind up actually hitting between the polymer and the side of the pin.... not good. At the minimum you could put quite a ding in the polymer and not move the pin. I used all three springs and I also deburred and smoothed the flat trigger plate as well as the groove on it that the trigger return spring rides in.
This trigger modification makes a noticeable difference in the easy and smoothness of the trigger pull. The single biggest complaint about the SCCY is the trigger and this inexpensive mod makes it feel like a different gun, and I've only dry fired it. Can't wait to get to the range! The at MCARBO are awesome! Thanks again!
As it goes, with the CPX-1 purchase I was hesitant to say the least, but my daughter fell in love with it in the store so we purchased it. I had never fired any SCCY brand weapons so once we got it home I gave it a go. Immediately I hated it. The trigger pull was so stiff and long I knew my daughter would have trouble maintaining a slow steady trigger pull with that long of a pull and still be able to hit what she was aiming at, and I was right. I looked up the Mcarbo short trigger spring kit and read the the reviews, I was sold. Dropping the 9lb trigger pull to a 3.5-4lb pull was right on the mark for the mod I was looking for to make this weapon worth while. Purchase price was great at just under $20, install was a breeze and even for those unfamiliar with weapons, there is a step by step video that even a child could follow. Lastly the result: I must say it is a night and day difference after the install. My daughter has no issues with the trigger pull any more, and the handling is so much smoother. This spring mod has transformed the CPX-1 from a worthless starter pistol to an everyday carry preferred concealed weapon of choice for my daughter. Great product.
