I have purchased three different trigger spring kits and all have resulted in a much better trigger, however I give three stars because I have never even come close to the pull reduction that he shows he is getting.
Ok I FINALLY Agot the spring kit in my SCCY CPX-1 and I'm here to tell you those two frame pins are a living nightmare. If you are unlucky enough to get the ones with the large pins I suggest some break free and use a nail set to work the pins from one side to the other to break them free. The first 1/8 inch is very very stiff. Make sure the 3/32 punch you use is HIGH QUALITY. I bent 4 different ones. Now it took me about 3 weeks of working those pins back and forth to break them free. With that said I honestly can't remember the feel of the original springs. So much so that I had to check and make sure I didn't put the wrong springs back in. I'll check the trigger pull with a gun Smith to see. Other than the 2 pins the other advice I can give is the CPX 1 has the safety which uses a flat blade screw driver to take off. You can't get the hammer pin out with it on.
Installed a SCCY CPX-2 trigger spring kit and noticed a big difference right away. Installation was fairly easy if you follow the video. I was a little clumsy and had to chase the firing pin across the room a half dozen times and had some other minor issues due to big fat fingers and not having the 'proper' tools. Easy enough for a DIYer to achieve if you take your time and have some patience and know how to use the rewind on the video. Made a good pistol, better.
This trigger makes a huge difference in this gun. I loved the feel of the firearm but hated the trigger until now.
The only initial drawback on my pistol was the trigger pressure and that was bothering me. I installed this upgrade over a year ago and it made a huge difference.
Night and day difference after replacing springs. Lighter and smoother pull. Slightly concerned after reading other articles about upgrading the springs in reference to having too light of a trigger pull for a concealed carry. This is not the case, this is still a solid trigger pull, but much lighter than before.
Still a very looooong trigger but this kit reduced the trigger pull enough that I don't have to worry about cramping anymore! Very speedy service from M carbo.
This spring kit is a big help to a pretty bad trigger. Still not my go to pistol but it's there if I need it. Installation was a little hard but now that I've done it I could it in 15 or 20 minutes. Great company. Recieved my parts on time and the price was right. Thanks MCARBO.
Shot 120 rounds with original springs, my trigger finger became sore. After installing the new springs, I am very happy with the results. It is necessary to take your time and follow the video instructions carefully, do not rush.
Fast shipping, installation took 45 minutes & went well, really smoothed out and lightened the trigger pull. Rounded trigger feels so much better.
Put the new springs in on a CPX-2 and noticed a substantial improvement. Don't have a trigger pull gauge but it feels like half of what it was. This gun spent a lot of time in the safe and not much at the range because I hated the hard trigger pull. Installation was straight forward and the video was excellent providing detailed step by step instructions. One small thing to note. After putting it all back together, the trigger was slow to return. Almost like there was some friction with it and the frame. Did 2 small taps on the pin holding the front of the receiver in the frame and fixed it immediately. I was driving the pin in going from the right side to the left side. Gave 2 light taps in the opposite direction (going from left to right) and it took care of the problem. Just a minor tweak but FYI should you experience something similar. I was ready to let this gun go! I recently upgraded my Sub 2K with all your products and it made a huge difference. Saw this kit and though I'd give it a try. It made this gun enjoyable to shoot! I was close to selling it because of the trigger, now it's found a home in the safe.
I bought a CPX2 and the first time I went to the range I was so disappointed I thought I should buy a new gun. After trying the springs kit and the trigger it feels like a totally different gun. I'm glad I gave it a try and it worked.
install was easy enough, especially after doing the second pistol. however, the pull reduction wasn't the 50% advertised. The wheeler gauge showed 8lbs before and 6 and 6.5lbs respectively, after the installs. Not sure if they will relax some with use. Four stars since they ultimately accomplished my goal of allowing my 10 year old daughter to easily pull the trigger where before she really struggled to pull it, if at all before. not a bad mod for an inexpensive shooter!
