These fit perfectly on my new carbine with only 100 rounds through it . Just be aware the fit will be tighter than the stock bolts
Much better quality that stock soft metal pins. My stock pins showed a lot of wear. Quick easy replacement with MCARBO pins.
The original pins, from Ruger, had begun to show signs of wear after approximately 1000 rounds. I replaced these along with the extractor. The MCarbo pins are a more precise fit , the replacement was super simple.
Was shooting a match and started to have stove pipe ejection issues. I took the gun apart and found a head of one of the bolt face pins had broken off. Also found the hook broke off the extractor. Not impressed.
I received the pins very timely and installation was a snap after watching the installation video.
I replaced these pins in December of last year. Very happy with their performance... or so I thought. Last evening, I took the rifle apart to install the shock buffer that I had just purchased, and lo and behold one of the pins had partially sheared off on the head. Contacted customer service and was informed that I got some from a bad batch. They immediately shipped out new ones and I am now waiting on them to arrive. The customer service is awesome! They were very apologetic and thanked me for my patience. Hey, I understand. I work in the machine tool industry for a manufacturer. It happens. Now, the interesting thing is, i decided to reinstall the factory bolt pins until the new ones arrive from MCARBO. Took the factory pins out of the bag and..... OOPS! I had forgotten that the heads had sheared off when I removed them the first time to replace them with the MCARBO pins! Yes, the factory bolt pins are exactly junk! Buy these pins. You will NOT regret it. And customer service is second to none! I am now a lifetime customer of MCARBO! Keep the new products coming guys!
These seemingly mundane additions to the 9mm Ruger carbine, these retainer items are of much tougher stuff than the factory components. In the long run these will likely avoid excess wear on the bolt head and any malfunctions that may result. Another installation that is easily undertaken with little more effort than cleaning the firearm after a day at the range.
The pins in my pc40 are not the same as mcarbo pins. My pins do no have a flaired head they are just cylindrical. My pins measure .002 over the mcarbo pins. Upon return mcarbo said my pins are not standard? Really? Beware pins that wobble.
Tried to install the bolt head pins but they wouldn't fit (they were about 0.001" bigger in diameter than stock pins). The extractor pin was used with the MCarbo extractor and worked fine.
Perfect fit and better material. The OEM pins were oval early on. I’m confident these will hold up much longer. Thanks M*CARBO for making these!
Excellent quality parts. The extractor looks like a extractor should look. Ran several hundred rounds without a single extraction problem, Take heed Ruger.
As usual these pins appear well made and I expect them to perform way better than the Fed factory pins. I’m very satisfied with the other Mcarbo parts I purchased for my PC9 and expect the same with this purchase. Thanks again Mcarbo for another great product!
After only 150 rounds on my PC Carbine, the stock pins were getting chewed up, very worn and deformed. 500 rounds with these upgraded pins, and not even a sign of finish wear on the shafts.
I installed these pins along with M*Carbo's extractor in my Ruger PC9 rifle in order to cure ejection problems. Problem solved!
Easy to install replaced while changing extractor
