The handle is a great improvement for me and I think overall . I watch his video (great) but needed it to fit my needs. I have pictures of what I used, I'm not recommending it but just to show my way. I'm in my late 70's and only have a right hand. So the longer handle has made a big difference. The lower part of the wood block using the allen I compressed the spring, then compressed the upper spring using the electric wire clips and small tool. The process putting in the new spring head went very smooth and the results are great. I'm able to pull the charge handle with my left stud a lot easier. I did not use the rubber over lays but put soft velcro around it. Follow his video for lining up head with handle. I hope it all makes sense.
In my review I forgot one thing, for the upper spring I put the wood block in a vise. Also see picture over handle cover.
So, I wanted to send you a few comments since you asked. Great part! Arrived quickly. I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting nor aware of the locking pin addition. But, that is a good add. The installation videos were great. One suggestion for the installation to make it easier. I took a sharpie and colored the top half of the locking pin so as to know which was up and which was down. Once it drops in, it moves around a lot and that helped me figure out I had it seated right. So, either color the part at your end or update the video to make that suggestion. Thanks much.
Installed this kit yesterday. Installation of the stainless retention piece took about 20 minutes. Found a strong clip to secure the bottom of the spring which held it steady enough to complete the install. Which my previous 2 finger charging handle had the hole, doubled the cost of my purchase.
I self installed the fittings required, including the stainless steel locking pin, as follows: I first drilled a hole in a small 1" thick wooden base the exact diameter to insert the coil spring. I then depressed the coil with my drill press (after removing the drill bit.) When completely closed, the drill chuck rested perfectly on top of the coil and depressed it, allowing the insertion of the small allen wrench with little effort. With the allen wrench firmed in place, I manually depressed the remaining coil, easily exposing the wire split loop and old locking pin to be replaced. I failed to secure the wooden block to my drill press, so as I depressed the coil, the block slipped and the old locking pin fell off the wire loop now exposed, and the entire wire loop slipped down into the coil to where I could not reach it to install the new locking pin. After much effort, I was finally able to retrieve the wire loop and finish the installation. Extending the charging handle was a great idea guys... thanks....
This is a nice upgrade. I really do like the rubber coating. It does make a difference when charging the weapon. I would like to see a thicker version of this exact style. I ordered this on Monday afternoon and had it by Wednesday afternoon. Very fast shipping and kinda makes up for the shipping time on my feed ramp. Very Nice!!!
Kinda. When you used to struggle when cycling, engaging and releasing the charging handle is no longer. A breeze to install and makes it a pleasure to charge your Sub 2000. Well made and aesthetically perfect. Fast delivery!
I purchased this as a replacement for the stock charge handle and yes it is much easier to use. But, it hits my wrist when I hold the gun in the low ready position. The MCarbo guys do a great job of design, so I'm going to replace it with the shorter low recoil handle.
Works as expected and the other reviews express my feelings. But what I had not expected was the email asking if I had received my order. This type of service is no seen in this country any more!!

I purchased the two finger grip that has been dipped in in the synthetic coating and the difference is amazing. The two finger grip makes charging a round into the breech effortless. The craftsmanship is top notch as always at MCARBO, My wife can now load a round into the chamber with ease. The best thing about the charging handle is the coating, your fingers don't slip off handle like the original did. Another great job MCARBO. I am very happy with this accessory for my Sub2000.

My part arrived today, was immediately installed, and works exactly as I had hoped it would. At 76 years of age with a bit of arthritis in my hands, the extended charging handle really makes it easy to chamber a round.
