First off..... MCARBO does business the way it "used to be". They QUICKLY respond to communications going above and beyond today's ("business standard", or lack of). I am ULTRA IMPRESSED and thankfull for finding MCARBO. Now to the review. This charging handle by MCARBO is a game changer! I have thick fingers and it would actually be uncomfortable to charge my stock sub2K due to the lack of finger contact. The MCARBO dual finger charging handle should be a must for all Sub2K owners.
That dinky little charging handle feels likes its ready to remove some skin. I love the two-finger setup with the rubber pads. Maybe I am a pansy but I like being comfortable when shooting.
Due to being almost 70 years old I had real trouble operating stock charging handle due to arthritis, however your 2 finger charging handle made it much easier almost effortless, thanks Mcarbo.
Purchased new double finger charging handle. Love it. Also like the rubber coating. Great idea. Great addition to my gen 2 sub2000. Easier to use now!!!
Looks great and extremely useful! Quick shipping and awesome communication, thanks guys!
Purchased this for my wife since she has bad arthritis. Easier for her to manipulate the charging handle. I will be doing other upgrades later.
With my somewhat long and fat fingers, this two finger charging handle sure is fantastic. No more missing the stock charging handle that was too short for me. Much more comfortable having 2 fingers instead of 1 pulling it back. May even try fit the rubber gasket like one over the bottom part to make it even more grabbable and comfortable. Another great product from M*Carbo!
Simple, but really makes a difference. Now, the installation may look like a PITA, but it's worth the effort. A tip I would add though to help with the guide rod. 1) At the end of the guide rod that you wont be touching, put a wee drop of oil. 2) insert a punch through the guide rod (might want to put a bit of oil on this too) right underneath the 'top' of the bottom wire guide rod. It may not make sense just reading this, but watch the install video and it will make sense. 3) Now, just rotate that puppy around the axis of the guide rod assembly. The spring will compress nice and easy, plus, held in place. 4) Replace the endcap of the guide rod with the MCarbo doohickey, and job done. Recommend you 'unwind' the punch before removing it.
Much better then stock set up simple after watching the videos they provide already ordered more I would highly suggest ordering from mcarbo next to none with their customer service
My 2 sub2000 have almost every upgrade MCARBO has to offer. I held off buying the locking pin as it seemed a little too hard lining it up with a screw driver. I received an email, on 7/29, showing the new and improved pin captured by the spring. I followed Chris’s lead and both charging handles broke the same day. I sent MCARBO a pic of broken handles on 7/30. I received a shipping notice on 8/3 and received handles on 8/5. I couldn’t be happier with both the handles and the response to my notice of broken handles. MCARBO has improved my subs to the point that I would bet my life on them.
A lot easier to rack the slide with two old fingers than one old finger
Makes a huge difference from the factory charging handle. This is my first MCARBO part that I installed. Helpful videos on the site as well. I'll be buying more products for my Sub 2000. Thanks MCARBO!
I hadn't owned a SUB-200 for years and either forgot how effort it is to charge the .40, or older age and two bad shoulders is catching up with me. Either way, I wanted some help and after a little research and advice from the guys on the FB Kel-Tec group I decided on the Two Finger charging handle. It does make a big difference and was well worth the price. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 starts was that swapping out the spring end is a bear! M-Carbo has a video on it, but its still rough. I got some help from the guys on the M-Carbo forums and found a much easier way to do it. M-Carbo should upgrade their video to the twist technique and save everyone a lot of grief on the install! Great product though that works great and is built stronger than the factory charging handle.
Gives more grip. Better than stock. Got the rubber coated.
Great addition to handling the carbine. Mcarbo, you guys are genius's in all areas in making this rifle more enjoyable to have.
